The freeze frame around the :16/:17-mark is the funniest thing in the world.

Saviour with the LOL of the day. And it’s not even noon.

Lebron’s reaction to this play was way over-the-top–he scored on Kyle Korver on a fastbreak. He is SUPPOSED to score on Kyle Korver on a fastbreak ALL of the time. On a separate tip, Lebron really looks like he is trying to shake the belief that he is the opposite of clutch…one series isn’t enough to qualify you as clutch IMO, but I can admit that he is doing a good job against Chicago and I openly hate the man.

  • Will Lee

    korver is a little weak.

  • http://slamonline.com 1982

As soon as Korver started back peddling, it was like watching a horror movie. Run! Run! Get out of there..

  • bike

The classic mismatch: Powerful, athletic, big african-american destroys smaller, un-athletic white guy on fast break. Korver should have bolted straight to the locker room, out the door, and right down main street Miami.

    Funny-ass moment.
Was laughing loud at my screen when this happened.
Ryan and i then started ranking our fav. funny moments of the playoffs so far via Twitter, his was this hilarious backpedal-spiel by Korver.
Mine? Artest busting Lamar in the nutsack as he tried to rip Barea’s face off.
    Good times

Hmmmm I wonder if lebron was 6,6 210 and just a good athlete, would he still be ‘King james’. He probably wouldnt be in the league! Physically a very gifted athlete but when he loses his speed, leaping ability and is 30plus hell just be average. Thats the difference between players like kobe/MJ and Lebron. They have polished skill sets and their game never revolved around overpowering defenders like lebron. Im not even a hater I often like watching Lebron but he has no fundamentals and travels everytime he catches the ball his game relies on his athleticism…fact! He is also not a great passer like people make out he is…that is offensive to stockton/nash/kidd, he is just a willing passer. I lied I am a hater haha but what I say is true.

    @englishman
Lebron`s got a better midrange jumper than Kobe, and he is a better passer, defender, rebounder. By losing his athleticism he might not be able to drive in like how he does now, but he will still be way better than what Kobe is at now.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Max

    @ Englishman
    Don’t put Kobe next to

MJ with just a / seperating the two..
    Just don’t.
    you can do this; Bosh/MJ

  • JTaylor21

Kobe? Is it the same guy that was seen fly-fishing in Lake Minnetonka?

  • Coach Tom

Hey Kyle, you missed his penis

  • http://twitter.com/BeezKneezy LA Huey

    Classic Korver defense.
LBJ disappeared for massive stretches? The “invisble man” produced another 9 pt 4 qtr on the way to 22/6/10.

  • All Day

I don’t understand Korver’s defensive strategy. The average player would have fouled LeBron as he crossed halfcourt to prevent a fastbreak. It looked like Korver was trying to beat LeBron to a spot on the court in order to take a charge. Korver started backpedaling like Deion Sanders, then got trucked in the paint.

  • All Day

When Korver got up did he ask anyone if they got the license plate number of the truck that ran him over?

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

    Truck stick enabled.

  • bashmo

Great finish with the left hand, even though he went off the wrong foot. Few players can finish like this guy can. What a beast

  • http://www.twitter.com/dfrance21 DFrance21

Why Korver didn’t just wrap him up at halfcourt, one will never know.

Englishman rant is so comical. “If Lebron wasn’t a tall, athletically gifted person with great leaping ability he’d just be an average player.” You don’t say? Be a honest with yourself and just admit that your opinion is biased based off your hate for Lebron. I’m not a Lebron fan, but I won’t deny that he is a very talented basketball player.

  • http://slamonline.com BigBlockMopar+Basketball

LeBron’s so good with both hands I didn’t even notice it was a left handed layup until the 3rd time I watched this.

  • http://www.bulls.com Rigo Gonzalez

    I mean, it’s Kyle Korver.
He’s been getting dunked on all season.
    So what?

  • http://www.slamonline.com Max

People, NBA players are supposed to be good with two hands, This wasn’t even special..

  • http://fivemag.de Speedy

    Cosign Max.
I mean I accept that LeBron can finish.
But this was a fastbreak against a guy that’s not in his league physically.

  • Dagger

You know you’re one of the all-time greats when a video like this receives so much hate.

  • http://www.slamonline.com/online/category/blogs/farmer-jones/ Ryan Jones

The fact that these comments have turned into a semi-serious discussion o of LeBron’s ability as a basketball player is maybe funnier than Korver trying to waist-hug LeBron. You guys amaze me sometimes.

  • Jono

IF should be illegal. @Englishman, IF is such a worthless arguement because it didn’t and will never happen. I bet you’re from the south, you arrogant twat. TOON ARMY!

  • Eddie1

@Pve84 QUIT BEING A HATER. I’m really peeved that in trying to sound intelligent, you end up sounding like a sarcastic jerk. This is not even about the illuminati. You’re just a hater.

  • Sparker

man, it was truly, truly funny. the frantic back-peckdalling, the look of shock and dismay, the weak otter-like slaps on the arm, the whole thing. i felt kyle should have actually announced his retirement, at that moment. left the court, never to return. i can just hear marv calling it: “and korver… what’s he doing now? he’s up… he’s waving to the crowd, he seems to be headed to the locker room. korver… is leaving the game. wait? what’s that? apparently he isn’t going to the locker room… he’s headed to the parking lot. he’s waving down a cab. korver… is driving away… to parts unknown, ladies and gentlemen. what do you make of that reggie?”

  • T-Money

The fact that he’s shooting 45% from mid range (better than KD and Kobe), is perfectly ambidextrous, has the best court vision of any non pg in the NBA, has tremendous basketball IQ, knows every play on both sides of the ball from all 5 positions is ALL BASED ON HIS ATHLETIC ABILITIES. LeBron will be garbage once he loses his athletic abilities and dominates as a highly skilled 6’9-270 power forward… oh wait.

  • Weezy_GER

LBJ was so fast! Pretty funny how Korver was tryin’ to sty in front of him!

  • neptuneniq

    Saviour: lol ur funny

Lebron was everywhere in that game…he basically ran the whole offense for them and was an impact on defense.

i guess u only like seeing buckets

Rose was someone who was nowhere to be found. MVP my ass

  • bballad

This is payback for getting blocked by Korver last year

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

Are some people really thinking SLAM put this up as a highlight…?

  • Mike From Spain

Korver is way too slow, he had so much headway…

  • http://www.englishman.com Englishman

@t-money i met lebron and he told me he was 6,7 245. Lets be honest if he cant jump what will he do as a big? use his amazing jump shot….oh wait maybe use one of his TD, Hakeen ish post moves…..oh no. or maybe use one of his finese moves……oh again no. Be honest when his athleticism goes hell be even more useless as a 4 than as a 3 that bulldozes his way round.

  • Mike From Spain

@Englishman: I agree that Bron’s game will age badly, and I am no Lebron fan. But you are blind to the guy’s improvement since he came to the NBA, and to how much of a beast he is. You’re just hating.

  • Yesse

    Poor Kyle.
