Talent will take you far, but hard work can take you even further. If you don’t believe me, just ask Angel McCoughtry. The star of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream has made a name for herself on the court both here or abroad. A new documentary “Angel’s Dream” sheds light on how the Baltimore native used basketball as a vehicle to see the world and inspire others.

“The purpose behind doing the documentary is to shed light on the hard work women professional basketball players put in to be successful,” said director of the film Stephen Philms. “Her story will inspire youth, especially young girls to continue to pursue their own dreams”

“Angle’s Dream” will be filming in Atlanta and overseas throughout the year. Here’s a behind the scenes video where Angel explains how the documentary came about and what made her pick-up a basketball in the first place

Love, love, love documentaries like these. It’s even better when their on women and the game of basketball. I grew up a b-ball girl. Couldn’t play it in school because of my grades (long story lol).
