Video: Renaldo Balkman Headbutts Greivis Vasquez

Things get slightly out of hand during a Puerto Rico-Venezuela game.

Here’s some footage of a little tussle that went down during Monday’s Puerto Rico-Venezuela game, when New York Knick/Puerto Rico swingman Renaldo Balkman headbutted Memphis Grizzlies/Venezuela guard Greivis Vasquez. Balkman was unsurprisingly ejected after the fight.

    You are up by 23 and you decide to head-butt Vasquez for a hard foul. Take the high road and sink the 2 free throws man. Act like a professional for God’s sake. But then again you are a 56% career free throw shooter so maybe it was a good idea to try and get yourself tossed…. Garbage!

    It’s not like it was some flagrant foul. Why so mad? PR IS up a lot and it’s not like Greivis tossed him on the floor. It was a reach in arm grab, not a hack job. Renaldo Punkman.

    Balkman would 100 percent get fouled harder than that at our saturday streetball game , one mate of mine SPLIT the other guys head open with an elbow , and we just took him to emergency , had some beers and laugh about it….BALKMAN is SOFT

    @skittles05– Soooo true. Just saw a pickup game in park last night. Players avg age 16-18. Young’un catches an elbow and dang near bit his tongue in half. Kid starts cryin……cause someone called his mom and she made him stop playin to go to ER. Kid wanted to finish the game.

    I had to watch the video three times to see the ‘headbutt’. In Balkmans defence, Vasquez is annoying, just from watching him on tv. This coming from some one who likes his game, have done since he was at Maryland.

    I like Balkman’s tough guy act. Gets upset about a “hard foul”, headbutts Vasquez, flops off a shove, only to get back up so that he can yip and posture while there’s at least half a dozen between him and Vasquez. Krstic and the Bayi Rockets are rolling in their graves…
