Video: Steve Nash Works on His Soccer Game

“By the way I played, they’re not going to have me come back for a while.”

This past Tuesday, Steve Nash decided he wanted to play a little soccer. So what did he do to get his fix? He descended upon a Vancouver Whitecaps workout and practiced with them. Sound odd? It shouldn’t. Not only is Nash a known soccer aficionado, but he’s also co-owner of the Whitecaps. Peep the vid to see him play futbol and discuss it.

    @Max: Try doing it, not just playing, but serious training. If you don’t have great feet coordination, you’ll end up frustrated.

    Let me say firstly that I’m a MASSIVE Steve Nash fan… (here comes the but…) BUT.. Steve Nash training with the whitecaps is like if Cuban hit up some training with the Mavericks…i just get the feeling thats inappropriate if not distracting. There would be some young up and coming footballer out there that should have had that run…
