Duke freshman Austin Rivers is a helluva of a player who lacks no confidence. As footage from this week’s Midnight Madness can attest, the young superstar is primed to take over Cameron Indoor Stadium.

    wow.. his shot is so ugly, reminds me of miller… and he doesn’t seem to have THAT much bounce..

    rivers reminds me of jj redick – which bodes well for his ncaa career but not so well for nba stardom. he would really benefit from learning to play the point because he’s kinda smallish for the 2 and doesn’t have crazy bounce. his pull up is nice but it’ll be harder to get off vs. guys like sefolosha. as i’m not sure he’ll be able to go to the hole at the nba level i think he’ll just be another spot up shooter.

    tony wroten jr. at washington is better than this kid. i know i’ll get some stats thrown at me and all types of people hyping up rivers, but i bet this kid will get housed in the acc while wroten flirts with a triple double out west.
