Video: Josh Selby Impact League Mixtape
The rookie shows off his game.
Coming into Kansas as a highly touted recruit, Josh Selby, for whatever reason, didn’t perform as expected. After a lone, underwhelming year in Jayhawk country, many questioned his decision to enter June’s Draft. Well, if this summer is any indication, Selby may be ready to prove a lot of people wrong. Some player’s skills translate better to the NBA compared to collegiate ball, and this seems to be the case with Selby. He has shown some impressive athleticism and the ability to score in bunches, albeit against lackluster defense. This mix probably has a lot of GMs shaking their heads wondering why they passed on this kid.

The game where the Baltimore team (LBJ, CP, Melo) went up against Durant’s guys. According to the SLAM video highlights, Durant blew by LBJ in many face-up situations in those games and vice-versa. I find that VERY hard to believe when you consider that most recently in the Eastern semi-finals, Lebron was tasked with (and modestly succeeded) in locking up Derrick Rose. You are telling me that Durant is quicker than Rose? I say not but simply just a half-ass attitude from LBJ in summer games – typical of any NBA player in these type of games. Let’s see how Josh performs on NBA game day 1 (and beyond when the strike settles) before ppl start crowning him underrated.
