Video: KD’s New ‘Paint the Town’ Nike Ad

Nike brings us the latest installment of the Basketball Never Stops commercial series, this time featuring Kevin Durant and his KD IV. KD is seen barnstorming Oklahoma City’s backstreets to hoop with cowboys, kids, the elderly and even J.Cole, who makes a surprise cameo.

    You know, as a loooong time Nike ad conneisour (these are produced by Weiden+Kennedy) I have to say that these basketball never stops ads are an okay idea but come off looking very cheap and tacky. I also have a background in film production and I just think that Nike is putting little resources into these campaigns. The truth is, they don’t need to put a bunch od resources into the campaign but at the same time at least be a bit more creative. For example, the “Chancelor of Basketball” ads from a couple years ago, especially the “practice” one (nod to AI) are much more entertaining and innovative. And those commercials were dirt cheap.     @Gerard Himself…..I was trippin, this joint was actually a charming commercial…still a bit lacking from what I’ve come to expect from Nike…and the “Basketball Never Stops” campaign in general has just been tremendously shabby imo. Especially the flagship ad with Lebron and KD and Dirk and i think Coach K?? this one was good, I was tripping. I definitely am feeling this one

    The pastor is 45, 6’8″ played at Arkansas in the 80′s and busted a reverse lay up on KD….then got dunked on.
