Video: Kevin Durant Thinks Kobe Would Beat LeBron 1-on-1

Do you agree?

The LA Times cornered Kevin Durant and a bunch of other NBA players to ask them who they think would win if Kobe Bryant and LeBron James ever played a game of 1-on-1. Most would seem to give the edge to the Black Mamba. Please adjust your lives accordingly.

Kobe would probably win one on one… Remember guys he’s been playing 1 on 5 virtually his whole career even with teammates. Lebron isnt a 1 on 1 type of player. No knock on any of these guys just telling it how it is. Just like if you asked me who would win 1 on 1 allen iverson or chris paul… i’d choose allen iverson in a heartbeat because he is a true 1 on 1 player. Thankfully NBA basketball isn’t one on one so this question is irrelevant. Who would win against each other in a team setting is a better question… lebron’s teams beat kobe’s teams more and thats just fact.

Wtf my comments never go through. This one probably will though. I hate it when people constantly call little shi$. The only way I’m calling a foul is if I catch a clothesline and even then it’s always my teammates calling fouls for me. Seriously though, not even two weeks ago for the first time I saw someone trying to call a charge. Everyone just laughed. That’s like calling 3 in the key or a tech or even 8 sec violation. Why are all you guys even making this stupid argument? Kobe, LeBron, and the NBA are not worthy topics of conversation. The NBA is incredibly gay. If you want real basketball, you need to watch the WNBA. That is well true basketball is played. Stop talking about this NBA garbage!

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

How is it a thread about Kobe and Bron degenerates into misogyny? How does that even happen?

righttttt pilight. I actually saw a few wnba games this year, but you can blame that Moore on that.

till this day I’ve never seen Lebron seriously lock anyone down MAN-TO-MAN. He’ll zone out like a free safety or a cornerback, and dig in for steals and run-down some blocks but mano-e-mano…unh uh…I think KD can attest lol. Kobe would have his way. Kobe maybe a two years back would win in more convincing fashion, but he still has this one-on-one thing ingrained in his DNA…no way Bron beats him.

yes! but only if he gets ball first

  • bigmike100

bron wuld win jus cuz of build nd much younger nd ppl make it seem like bron cnt shoot but he can but melo wuld beat any player n a 1 on 1 #realtalk

just one thing: go to youtube, type kobe vs Jordan… watch some of those..like kobe 42 @half, or kobe vs mjordan 1997.
then come back here and post again

a younger kobe will eat ljames.. now is closer.. lebron has the physicality and speed, kobe the Defense ,posting, outside shooting and intelligence. Plus lebron will melt if the game is close at the end..

Kobe is one of the craftiest and most competitive players ever. Anyone who thinks he wouldnt make a game of it is an idiot imo. At his age im not sure if he’d win but he’d be in with a shot. Prime Kobe would beat LBJ 7/10 times imo.

@everyone who thinks LBJ would just overpower Kobe, dont you think that the NBA players who play against both these cats would know better then us whethor Kobe could guard LBJ?

I love eboy’s vitriol man lol so harsh from the get go. Kobe wins this, particularly if we r talking prime years, but nowadays it’d be tough for him cuz bron does a good job pushing him off his spots, bumping him outta position offensively (at least that’s one thing I noticed in mia vs lal last season). Ultimately, this game would probly boil down to whether kob’s gonna make shots with a hand in face. I’ve seen him do just that often enough to know better than to bet against it. But this is all irrele unless the players take up allenp’s awesome idea of a mano a mano tournament. For the record, a prime allen iverson would give kobe waaaay more problems 1 on 1 than bron, just re watched some old tape of the answer, god he was dope wasn’t he?

And props to tina for censoring. The only person who’s qualified to be using foul language around here is eboy (and that’s just cuz he’s extra cruel, then says “its only words, kid.”). Coldest commentor here

@Z, get off Eboys dick, and the Answer was so dope.

Kobe has 5 rings and Lebron 0 who you think my money’s on? Kobe has a big big heart!

  • Veto402

Durant says that he is “NOT nowhere near those guys” due to the double negative, it means he thinks he is just as good at those guys…he has a great way of being subtle about being good!
