Video: LeBron James, Kevin Durant Work Out Together

Striving for Greatness!

The clip above shows LBJ and KD going through their workout routines together. It’s a fascinating peek into what it takes for NBA superstars to stay in peak physical shape.

Damn, i wanna do those drills too.

Point guard skills??!!! Bron need to work on his post game

  • Overtime

Find these videos very interesting, I study Strength and Conditioning, so always fun for me to see the way they train

Always cool to see, Russell Westbrook and Drose, two ‘rivals’ on the court, working out together every summer since they came into the league and now KD and LeBron also ‘rivals’on the court. Always nice to see these kind of videos.

  • Riggs

KD is a freaking spider. I noticed that his coordination is slightly off during the line drills because he’s just too damn gangly

  • 23

@illwill: you can’t expect him to just stop working on the skills that got him where he is today. Plus come on, do you really think this short video clip is the same workout he’s done all summer???? Smh, his workouts and drills are more than just video clips

  • the truth

Bron is SO MUCH bigger than him

  • Jesse

Was really hoping they would be doing post work together…

  • Randy Brown

It said ‘Episode One’, will there be a series of these?

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

You can’t just ignore your other skills and focus strictly on one (post) skill. You don’t become a complete basketball player by doing that.

  • http://slamonline.com datkid

I had no idea durant worked out lmao

  • http://www.offthebackboard.wordpress.com Off The Backboard

    Very cool.

  • http://www.slamonline.com MUBWAR

looooooooooooool at datkid. he really looks fragile next to bron though.

Just a different observation…ever notice that Kobe never documents his workouts? While its cool to see these different forms of conditioning drills and skill developement, it seems like its all just for show.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Jahmai

Kobe never documents his workouts, what about the video of him and Olujowan working out. How about the time Kobe ‘called’ the media when he was shooting after the Heat game. Kobe definitely loves that attention.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Yeah! showoffs. Running sprints, lifting weights and working on drills just because the cameras were there. I bet that’s the first time either guy has picked up a weight or shot a jumpshot in their lives.
I’m pretty sure the cameras were there when Kobe was working with the Dream and who’s to forget the infamous workouts after losing to Miami.

Im surely not defending LeBron or Durant’s decision to record their workout nor am I saying Kobe has never done so either. Just an observation on how the era we live in has changed. As a professional in the field, I appreciate it when high caliber ball players engage in sophisticated workouts. Check out the Nuggets performance/strength trainer Steve Hess!!! He actually gets you excited to workout bye watching his videos with the Nuggets! I also wonder how Melo’s conditioning will be affected by a full season out of their training program.

KD is just so damn tall lol.
and Polow, Melo is gonna be chubby.

  • Chukaz

If you look closely, around the 2:55 mark of the video, Kevin Durant traveled

  • http://myspace.com/gametimeweezy Gametimeweezy

Those are real good drills but them boys need to get down on the block and develop some go to moves.

  • Eldon Khorshidi

    Great video

KD being recruited by Lebron too. Damn you Lebron, corrupting the mind of the sweet and innocent Kevin Durant.

    Durant’s handle looks more fluid.

  • @DEKNOWZ

Most owners would say they’re the antithesis of each other.

  • Everynowhere

LOL at 5:16! they blurred out the gatorade because they don’t endorse them. haha these guys are hilarious.

  • LA Huey

This is why I couldn’t cut it in basketball once I got to high school. I love the game but hate working out and doing drills. Props to anyone with that kind of dedication and work ethic when it comes to sports.

  • Kadavour

Don’t be naive guys, damn near EVERYONE in the league has a workout program like this, or better. These guys aren’t at home sitting on their asses. What, you guys think NBA ballers didn’t play over the summer til the slew of vids we saw this year?

  • http://www.slamonline.com rich

at the end lebrons like we need to go eat kd’s just hoping he doesnt have to foot the bill on lebrons feast lol

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

watching these guys go back and forth shooting, the difference in effort in their strokes couldn’t be more clear. KD’s just got the most effortless release, Lebron just doesn’t seem to have a shooting motion.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

    ^ *consistent shooting motion

  • robb

Durant looks totally confused in that weight room, Lebron on the other hand looks right at home.

  • Mariano Cairo

this gets me pumped for some gym time.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Co-sign LA Huey… I hate working out too. Basketball-related drills are okay, like shooting drills, etc., but pure running drills are just a pain.

  • atl

    Where’s Greg Oden? LMAO
In his couch eating potato chips?

  • benni

is it just me, or did anyone else expect lebron to handle some serious weight?
he looks like a nfl TE, but works out like somebody on mtv made…

  • benni

@robb: i think he doesn’t look “right at home” at all…

  • Do Work

OH MY GOD!!! LEBRON DIDN’T WORK ON HIS POST GAME THE ENTIRE WORKOUT! NOOOOOOOOOO

  • Do Work

LEBRON WASN’T PUTTING UP 500 POUND BENCH PRESSES OR 250 POUND BICEP CURLS!!! HIS SEASON IS LOST! THIS 6 MINUTE VIDEO DEFINITELY SHOWS THE WHOLE WORKOUT!!! KOBE HAS NEVER VIDEOTAPED A WORKOUT! lol haters

  • bigmike100

kd skinny af lol… great vid tho cnt wait 4 epsiode 2… if i was kd i’d ask bron wat really happened n da finals… cuz im still puzzled how da best nba player n da league can peform so suspect n da finals… nike all day errday lol

  • http://www.optimabbc.be Max

And you guys forgot, DWade is gonna be pissed when he sees Lebron cheating on him!

  • BRAD

    Lol, Max for the win…..

  • stokesey

Love the insight, good to see the differant varietys of drills… on another note i want to know what these guys take (supplement wise) to recover after a weights session, to be able to do oncourt workouts afterwards!! im tired an sore as a mother after lifting…
