Dwight Howard’s Funniest Videos

Celebrating one of the L’s best—and silliest—players on his 26th birthday.

by Abe Schwadron | @abe_squad

Since the Magic made him the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 Draft, Dwight Howard and his Greek god-like frame have represented power and strength. But he’s also one of the League’s friendliest and funniest players. And with Shaq taking his final bow, Howard’s now the only “Superman” in pro basketball, and arguably its best entertainer. Somehow, Dwight is simultaneously the NBA’s most feared defensive presence (reigning Defensive Player of the Year, three years running) and one of its most well-liked. Plus, it looks like DH is finally putting things together on the offensive end—he posted a career-high 22.3 PPG in ’10-11, and 27 PPG during Orlando’s short-lived playoff run. So it’s no wonder the five-time All-Star is the subject of trade rumors to every big-market team from the Lakers to the Nets.

On his 26th birthday (ridiculous how young dude is), we salute Dwight with 26 of his funniest video moments, from scripted commercials to his famous impressions. Some you’ve seen, others you’ll be viewing for the first time. Perhaps the only fans who won’t be laughing are distraught Magic diehards. But hey, this is Dwight’s day, so take a moment to relax, hit play, and enjoy the Manchild’s lighter side. We’ve gathered every hilarious Howard YouTube clip into the gigantic gallery above for your viewing pleasure. Happy born day, DH!

Definitely not one of the “best” players. Good athlete, no post moves. Wouldn’t have been an all-star 15 years ago. Sad state of bball affairs these days! Oh well, life goes on.

haha wow 26 now?! time goes by so fast…Guess we can start calling him the Man-man….lol happy birthday D12

i really don’t find him very funny

  • Mariano

@purity yes he would. He’s a defensive beast, and he can also score… Just because he doesn’t have many post-moves it doesn’t mean that he’s a bad player

@meloman2.0 not really even about the comedic quality of some of his stuff, just his willingness to not take himself seriously, I had a great time going through those clips

@Mariano – with all due respect, you must be a child. If you think he was beating out Ewing, O’Neal, Mourning – even Deke – well, son, you’re crazy.

Y’all gotta give credit to Dwight the way he can play defense despite it’s to a big man’s disadvantage the way the refs blow their whistles these days.

I think we should stop comparing times because its hard to tell. You would never know so all of is based on opinions and stats. Because imo i think Dwight would be an ok center if played during their time. Not a star like he is now but he still do his thing. But like i said its hard to tell.

@purity Dwight’s a different type of centre but his athleticism would have allowed him to hold his own against those players. Think about how much faster and stronger than he is compared to all those guys
