You’ve had your chance to talk about Kobe’s new kicks. Now, let the man who inspired the new design say his piece. Bryant sits down with Nike creative director Eric Avar to talk about the process of making the Nike Kobe VII System Supreme, and touch on everything from science to art to performance. Kobe also comments on the way his signature line has evolved over the years, and takes us behind the scenes with his creative team.
The Kobe VII is meant to take on a “Predator”-like nature, taking cues from The Black Mamba’s on-court demeanor and design hints from the animal skin and patterns, from Leopard to Shark to Snake. The shoe is now available worldwide, and can be customized at NIKEiD.com. Be sure to scroll through the gallery above for more exclusive imagery.
