Video: Kobe and MJ – Great Expecations

Celebrating two all-time greats.

Kobe Bryant’s expectations were to become the best basketball player he could be—which, specifically, meant becoming the greatest ever. This collaboration between KonyginGD and MaxaMillion doesn’t criticize No. 24 for falling short of Michael Jordan’s pedestal. Rather, it celebrates two of the greatest basketball players the game’s ever seen.

    This was good, tired, but good. Kobe is the closest thing to Michael Jordan since or before. He won’t ever reach him, but he’s as close as it gets.

    Kobe should of been left out of this video, he in no way should be ranked with Jordan. Jordan played in a league of NBA’s great players and raised the bar on greatness. Jordan changed fans expectations of what a superstar is with his abilities. What has kobe done other than play on a team with Shaq who dominated the paint, or two other seven footers in the paint and a roster of three point shooters. Kobe is a good defender if he’s guarding a older point guard, yes kobe can make a basket, but taking 20+ attempt to score 30 pts while 10 of those pts are from free throws is not that impressive especially if your team lost the game. Iverson, Sprewell and numerous other players are better athletes then kobe, they just didn’t have the luxury of playing with the lakers like kobe. Jordan earned his place in history, kobe has been over publicized to appear great without actually being more than talented then the other 99.9% of nba players. Magic, bird those are the type of players jordan should be categorized with. Its like placing rondo in the same category as magic johnson.
