Video: LeBron James’s Amazing Save and Assist to DWade

The Big 3: All for one and one for all.

Each Miami Heat game offers an orgy of mind-bending highlight plays, and last night in Charlotte was no different. Here’s arguably the best one, courtesy of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

I really like the highlights so far from miami. But I really LOVE the Ws!!! Hope they can keep this up throughout the entire season/postseason

  • irondan21

    Nice. Good hustle

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

This wasn’t that great. It was good but I read some outlandish sh*t about how great this pass was last night. Like Tom Haberstroh “i think LeBron just found a way to top the full-court oop from last season” which is absurd.

  • http://bulls.com airs

cmon nbk, that sh*t was dope.
he saved the ball from going out and threw it 3/4ths court for an easy assist!
but youre right, that doesn’t touch the full court alley oop

  • LA Huey

Man, I do this sh*t all the time in pick-up ball but teammates never catch on and leak out. Frustrating.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

Yeah it’s not that hard to throw that pass, it’s not like he hit wade in stride or anything like that. Any basketball player with a background in throwing a ball can make that pass, it’s just about whether they have the awareness and sense of calm to find and make it at the right time.

  • http://knicks.com Gametimeweezy

That pass was money… Like throwing a 30 yard pass off your back foot, or a 3rd basemen making a backhanded stab and throwing a seed across the diamond.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

30 yards is 90 feet (the length of a court). And you throw off your back foot anyway. This was a pretty simple, 40 foot pass. The fact that he had the wherewithal to know Wade was there is what is most impressive (imo).

  • http://www.nba.com Gman

    Big 3 in efffect

  • Fat Lever

    Awesome court awareness.

  • stlheatmaniac

how can anyone hate on that pass. it not only was an amazing pass but it showed amazing vision from LJ. most people save the rock from going out of bounds by pitching it to the nearest team mate. but his vision and ability is so great that he not only saved the pass but saw wade wide open on the other half of the court. thats freaking amazing if u ask me. wat do a man gotta do to get props round dis motha hubba?

  • AQWORD

LIKE A BOSH !! Sic SAVE DIME !! Wade just wanted to say that like from White men can’t jump : ” DANM THAT $#!T IS JUST TOO EASY !!! ” NAW NAW NAW . THIS ISH IS TOOOO EASY ” Big trey in effect. JEAH !!!

  • http://www.optimabbc.be Max

    Overrated play

  • larrylegend

    amazing sequence

  • AQWORD

LOL at nbk though trying hard to keep this play average in his own head. We can tell it ain’t workin pal , but keep doin’ what you do best. The whole play was impressive apart from the dunk , coz DAT I$H WAS JUST TOOOOOOOO EASY.

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

I just find it funny how people can be on completely opposite spectrums of the same highlight. There is never a video posted here where everyone agrees that it was a great play. There’s always a handful of people that are completely unimpressed.

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

For the record I thought it was a great play and NBK it doesn’t really look like Wade broke stride to me.

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

Here I’ll just repost my first comment again “nbk Posted: Dec.29 at 1:43 pm
This wasn’t that great. It was good but I read some outlandish sh*t about how great this pass was last night. Like Tom Haberstroh “i think LeBron just found a way to top the full-court oop from last season” which is absurd.”

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

In stride means literally in stride. If they have to slow down, change the pace or direction they are running then they are not in stride. Have you ever played basketball? Next time your on a court go save a ball from out of bounds and try and throw it on purpose to half court. If your a grown man it won’t be that hard. If your 6’8″ 265 and jump like an Olympic athlete it will not take any effort.

  • LA Huey

Like nbk said, as far as physical skill, it’s a play high school kids can make and simply required LBJ to hustle, Wade to leak out, and the Charlotte backcourt to have JR Smith’s basketball IQ.

  • LA Huey

It was a nice highlight though. Especially, the part where Bosh smacks some guy’s sh*t out of the air.

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

Nice play there but i gotta side with nbk on this, if i new wade was gonna be down court i could make that pass 4 or 5 times out of ten.

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

So basically i should be in the L.

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

@dffrance what do you mean he didnt break stride, watch the video again.

  • AQWORD

The last few posts are like The Big Bang Theory of ball. ‘It’s a high school play’ , ‘i would have done it better.’ S.T.F.U. ! sadly for you it’s one of the plays of the year you bunch of gimps. There’s more to come so GET USED TO IT !!

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

@AQWORD You obviously you wet yourself with excitement every time you see LBJ on TV, F@ggot.

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

It’s really not a play of the year. It wasn’t even the play of the game.

  • http://knicks.com Gametimeweezy

Nooo this is a play where ppl routinely do NOT have the arm strength, especially falling out of bounds. The fact that LeBron makes it so easy is what makes ppl think anybody can do it… smh. Sure we have all made similar plays but in the REAL WORLD of the NBA… u guys are not making this play. I’m getting back like Deion and its getting intercepted. Sorry.

  • http://knicks.com Gametimeweezy

4 or 5 times out of 10 actually sounds about right, I’d complete it 6 but who’s counting lol

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

If you cant throw the basketball three quater length of the court you dont belong on the court. Seriously for Lebron James thats a piss easy play to make. For regular people its pretty hard to do, especially with the jump but the most impressive thing is his awareness of where wade and the D was. The actuall pass is not that special to me.

  • AQWORD

I wet myself everytime i see a really tight play coz I LOVE THIS GAME. But then again i visualise your face as the toilet when i’m $#!tttin’, COZ I LOVE THIS GAME. I’m just f*ckinwit ya coz no muff s’ too tuff :-)

  • http://knicks.com Gametimeweezy

I thought it was an athletic play it did remind me of ARod making a backhand stab and gunning down the runner at first. Quick hands, nice turn and fire all in one motion. That’s about it ur right, i’ll prob never think about it again till the next time someone does it.

  • AQWORD

@nbk did someone say this was the play of the year, WHERE ? I said one of the… & it will be. You got’s to get you eyes checked. You couldn’t even pass the ball inbound never mind no look 3/4 , fallin outa bounds save on the dime. ONYX first album son. ONYX first album. :-)

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

” S.T.F.U. ! sadly for you it’s one of the plays of the year you bunch of gimps. There’s more to come so GET USED TO IT !!”

“It’s really not A play of the year. It wasn’t even the play of the game.”

you see the (A)? What is your reading comprehension?

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

@AQWORD, it was a tight play, that is all.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Tarzan Cooper

Nice lil play, maybe greatest of all time. Actually its both, but also nothing. Agg

  • AQWORD

@unf*ckwitable – THANK YOU. @nbk If that’s not one of the plays(or sequences) of the year at the end of the season i will eat my shoe & the only Heat you bring is underneath the spoon. My reading comprehention is not as whack as your good ball comprehention + you posted some bullish 3times before my first post to try to prove somethin’ you couldn’t like a hate-gimp , i was just makin up for it. I was the reaction for your action. Aight. It’s 2:05 am here & i’m trying to stay up to cathc the Knix L.A. game. It will be tough but i gots DAL vs OKC now to keep me busy. GOOD NITE.

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

Your comprehension might be ok but your speeling is pretty wack.

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

****spelling. Lol i always do dumb stuff like that.

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

It was #4 on the plays of the day. If it’s a play of the year then yesterday was prolly the day of the year. We should all just stop watching highlights till the playoffs.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

Click my name. Thats amazing. And it’s a kid. And it’s 90 feet. I think it illustrates how easy it is for LeBron James to make a 45 foot jump pass somewhere around Dwyane Wade. And how moderator difficult it would realistically be for any person that has been throwing a ball for years.

  • AQWORD

according to YOUR strict statisticals , YES :-) & Don’t make me bring up Brons block of the nite too man, i’l just let you peep it during blocks of the week. Real ball ain’t a statistic though, it’s felt with the heart & evidently you ain’t got none. son .

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

Oh Ok. that makes perfect sense.

  • AQWORD

Nope. You trying to bring the play down makes perfect sence : enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwufQM0WzU8

  • http://www.t-mac.com/tmac/index unf*ckwitable

AQWORD im sorry to say but your an idot bro, your last comment confirms it for all of the slam community to see. You need to accept that your dumb as dog sh*t and stop embarrassing yourself. WTF are u talkin bout stats for?

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

    moderately* difficult (autospell my bad)

  • http://www.slamonline.com Chubachuchi

Huh. So if I don’t like Bron (which I do) I automatically become a Kobe slurper. Nice.

  • AQWORD

I was testing where you were at son. Quick & painless. So youre Heat’s d*ckrider #? My man !!!! :-) LOL

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

LOL I hate when NBK pulls the “have you ever played basketball card?”
This was an incredible play. It was incredibly hard and this wont happen in your Sunday School league. The posturing is getting annoying, NBK.

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

“If your a grown man it won’t be that hard. If your 6’8″ 265 and jump like an Olympic athlete it will not take any effort.”
ROFL, oh yeah, a grown ass man can easily jump out of bounds, grab the ball while simultaneously falling three feet out of bounds, have the hang time and the court vision to throw the ball 45+ feet over two opposing defenders to get the ball two feet infront of your man who you knew was running out for the dunk.
EASY GUYS! I SEE THIS PLAYING AT MY JCC ALL THE TIME!!!!

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

Oh god, some of you keyboard warriors….
    Wow. Good night.

  • http://slamonline.com The Philosopher

    The King…

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

It’s a good play like I said. But it’s not that hard. And your “I can come in and judge everyone say my piece like its the most important and dip out like I said something definitely right” attitude is pathetic. I’m not posturing, I didn’t talk about what I can or can’t do. I said it’s not great, amazing. And it’s certainly not better then the full court alley-oop. I understand the pass is difficult for a normal human being. But a professional athlete it really isnt, at all. The awareness to know what to do is pretty impressive, but not the catch and pass. I’m sorry I’ve seen things from lesser athletes that are much more difficult than that at much lower levels of competition. Me saying this is not posturing, it’s not anything more then me telling my opinion from the experiences I have had playing basketball. But it’s cool that you think you can come in tell me my posturing is annoying and then proceed to say I’m wrong with some weird arrogant confidence that your opinion is somehow more important than anyone else’s. I don’t give a sh*t if you disagree with me. But leave your stupid superiority complex to yourself.

  • AQWORD

It’s a shame you stopped playin ball in high school though. Would have been a hell ofa playa. :-)

  • AQWORD

SO WHY DO YOU COME BACK TRYING TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF again & again THEN ?

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

Goodness, you having family issues or is it just that time of the month, NBK? My response about your overbearingness on downplaying the highlight was worse then you reminding everyone you play (non-professional) basketball and then telling everyone that the play wasn’t really that great?
    Oh, well then.
Let me see the highlights of all the other basketball players doing it. I await your response with baited interest, sir.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

So I should have just lied and said I found it to be amazing because if I don’t I’m overbearing. I said my piece and then responded to people addressing me or responses too me. I didn’t come in out of nowhere and call people annoying while I say my equally opinionated point of view. Also, me pointing out that your way of commenting is annoying has nothing to do with my mood, it’s just how you come across and I find it ridiculous, so I let u know

  • AQWORD

^^^^^ somebody get this guy a kotex & a gift card to MACYS ^^^^^ PLEEEASE ! You said you piece but everybody could tell it was weak as it smelled of $#ite . :-)

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

None of what you been saying makes sense. And frankly you seem to be a little to dense to even understand this comment. So say whatever you need too.

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

Oh, hey, look, you returned with 0 footage of any NBA players doing anything Lebron James just did!
    Welcome back!
Saying “I don’t find it amazing” is having an opinion.
Saying “If you guys play basketball you should know that those passes are pretty simple, happen a lot really!” is being a dbag know-it-all who is absolutely stretching the truth. It wasn’t the most difficult of passes, but the hustle to save the ball and the awareness to know his teammate was running back and to turn it into an assist almost instantly makes it easily the best play of the year.
Next time Rondo throws a bounce pass between three people to a cutter, I’m going to say “Oh come on guys. I played div III High School ball, we would throw bounce passes all the time. Easy stuff.”

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

I never said that Jukai. But it’s cool that you like to change my words around to fit into whT your mad about. You said ” It wasn’t the most difficult of passes, but the hustle to save the ball and the awareness to know his teammate was running back and to turn it into an assist” up to there you are basically repeating what I said in more than one comment “Yeah it’s not that hard to throw that pass, it’s not like he hit wade in stride or anything like that. Any basketball player with a background in throwing a ball can make that pass, it’s just about whether they have the awareness and sense of calm to find and make it at the right time.” but I am not going to say it ” almost instantly makes it easily the best play of the year.” because it literally not based on any opinion was not the play of the game. The bosh dunk was the play of the game on NBATV, ESPN, and even Slam. The fact that it’s even getting this much attention is because it was the Heat. If that play took place in the Cleveland v Toronto game it would not have gotten it’s own page, let alone such overwhelming praise for something that really wasn’t that hard.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J1xRFfh1zU&feature=youtube_gdata_player nbk

And I never said I was going to search for highlights similar too that. That would take a bunch of tedious effort because that play wasn’t really that special, just like plays like it are not that special. So they don’t live on in highlight videos like actual great plays do.

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

If your complaint really was that the ‘pass’ wasn’t that great and people should be focusing purely on Lebron’s court vision, then you need a life. That’s some semantic nonsense right there.
And you’re not going to search for highlights because you wont find them. A 45 foot lob going out of balance to the runner has ALMOST NEVER HAPPENED IN THE NBA’S HISTORY.
    You know, so…

  • http://dsjkflf.com Jukai

Oh, and NBATV had the Lebron dish as the #1 play. That took two seconds to look up. Nice try, though.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxblJIAbGIc&feature=related nbk

Click My Name. Way way more impressive save from out of bounds.
    .
    .
    .
Save’s from out of bounds like LeBron’s are not f*ckin notable when it isn’t LeBron or the Heat. I’m sorry but the player that performed the play is the reason people think it’s unbelievable.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZq5ZgIV8h4&feature=related nbk

Here’s a 9 year old making a half court shot. Which is obviously more of an accomplishment then LeBron James throwing a basketball 45+ feet on a one-handed baseball jump throw.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yGXaZYKfB0&feature=fvwp&NR=1 nbk

Here’s some random high school kid doing a front flip full court shot.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbaKOCyU6bw&feature=related nbk

And a 10 year old. From Half Court. (This is going into a basket. Not hitting the ground somewhere infront of one of the best athletes on earth.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7OLaNA16cA nbk

And Corey Maggette doing something way more impressive.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWRGW3Qs-u4 nbk

Here’s Mark Jackson making a 3/4 length shot with one hand, off the dribble.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7OLaNA16cA nbk

But saves, they aren’t really special enough to live on in highlights, like I said. Because it’s not that special to save a ball, unless it actually goes in the hoop. THat is, unless your LeBron James.

  • AQWORD

LOL ! Damn nbk. You have officially lost it man. The ball DID go into the hoop at the end of the play. Wade dunked it. You did see that right ? There was a nice block by Bosh to ill save/pass by Bron to dunk by Wade.(Big 3 , All for One & 1 for All) Ball in the hole at a fairly crunchy time coz the score was close. Your brain has melted dude & the thing is, everytime you see this play later on in your life & also ‘PLAYS OF THE YEAR’ :-) you will think about this post & of course us & how you couldn’t accept it as a great play & u were bringing up vids of kids & mark jackson. This post must be like Kobe Bryant’s room in Denver a few years back & i hate to say it man but i’m Kobe & youre that girl. :-) gota fairly long flight ahead of us in 4 hours but there are WIFI spots all over the place ,so i’l be watchin’ YOU (Meet the parents two fingers from eyes to you gesture) + i remember all those plays without clicking on your name. They nice. But this isn’t about that.

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

    LMAO
