Video: Los Angeles Lakers Perform as 50 Cent’s Backup Dancers

Yep, it’s another major L for the Lakers. Steve Blake, Matt Barnes, Darius Morris and Derek Fisher made a delightfully awkward appearance on the show “X-Factor” last night, with three of them performing as back-up dancers for 50-Cent.

If it were Blake Griffin and DJ, that would be pretty entertaining. I think that really shows who runs LA after just one off season.

Rookie Hazing. Darius Morris was centre stage…

    Thats a good one.

It’s almost as if Steve Blake and Co. were looking for the mens’ room and made a wrong turn. Steve Blake “this isn’t the bathroom”. Matt Barnes “I knew we should have made that left at Albuquerque.” On another note, this is why being a celebrity can make you look more silly than cool.

That whole performance looked like a train wreck. LOL

  • Heals

    Where’s the well they’ve all been Mamba’s back-up dancers so this shouldn’t be a challenge…

How the hell did 50 go from a classic like Get Rich or Die Trying to performing a wack song on xfactor with a bunch of dudes as backup dancers?

  • http://www.twitter.com/notebooknick NotebookNick

Derek Fisher is a Lakers star?

  • http://slamonline.com datkid

lmaoooooooo nah it wasn’t as awkward as ya’ll are making it seem… but it wasn’t good. at all.

  • http://www.michaelcho.com m cho

Get Rich or Die Trying is a classic? Illmatic is a classic. Ready to Die is a classic. Nothing 50 has done can be considered a “classic”.

  • dma

derek fisher and 50 are good friends?

  • doyouwantmore

What do 50 Cent, the Lakers, and most of Hollywood all have in common? – They somehow manage to always suck despite their huge success.

  • http://slamonline.com datkid

get rich or die trying was a classic if you were born in the 90′s. and I was. so get rich or die trying is a classic lmao.

  • shutup

Get rich or die trying is a classic, so is its dark and hell is hot, and in my lifetime vol. 1.

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

Kind of surprised a God-fearing family man like Fisher was on stage with 50 cent.

  • Yesse

Lakers should be at practice. I also didn’t know, that 50 and D-Fish had a friendship?

  • Michael

In what world is In My Lifetime a classic. Jay-Z doesn’t even like that album

  • SoCalHoopsFan

Steve Blake was so lost lol. This vid had me cracking up.

Gangstas don’t dress baggy no more. Rappers are dressing nice nowadays. What happened?!? Man, I’m feeling old.
But, how does this commercialized pop culture show with uppity tight corporate folks have a rapper come perform on their show? i think it’s great and 50 seems to blend well with everybody he encounters. He doesn’t intimidate folks and comes across as likeable, charismatic guy. BUT, it’s hip hop on a pop show. it’s odd. Lakers appearing on the show? Eh, It’s Los Angeles. Get over it. Less talented individuals have had their 15 minutes.
