Video: Jeremy Evans Slam Dunk Contest Highlights

The Jazz big man won the competition with these throwdowns.

In what some consider to be one of the weaker Slam Dunk Contests in recent memory, last night’s competition was won by Jeremy Evans, who took home the trophy—as anointed to him by a majority of voters on Twitter—by completing the three dunks in the video above. What do you think?

In my opinion, i thought that it was pretty good, and we were voting for the top2 for the second round, BUT ONLY 3 DUNKS EACH WHATTT!!!

paul Georges dark dunk, and jeremys 2 ball dunk, were both nastty still

  • mjwilt2313

paul george shoulda just done this last

he did it with ease last time, these guys need to stop listening to kenny smith n just do strait dunks no gimmicks or props.

2010 was the worst dunk contest. I thought this years’ was pretty good for such a weak field. Paul George’s black-light dunk, Derrick Williams off-the-side-of-the-backboard 360, and Evans two-ball dunk were all nasty.

^his dark dunk would have been better if could actually see it, williams 360 of the side was nice also

    that was for zogs

  • LaKid

George got robbed in my opinion. He jumped over Hibbert..

  • logues

horrible contest… a couple nice dunks tho. i thought paul george should have one cuz he was most consistent with “good” dunks. dwill had the best dunk with the reverse 360 off side of backboard.. nasty

There are high school dunk contests that are better than this quagmire.

  • add

shouldnt of gotten rid of the judges, george won that one

Personally my least favorite dunk contest in memory….and someone take the mic off KS for the love of christ…his dragged out intro to the first dunk with Diddy was just horrible.

NBA, please go back to 8 players, and more than 1 round.
And don’t let the fans decide who wins.

I’d rather watch larry bird and Karl Malone in a dunk contest, and letting the fans vote after the first dunk??
Better off having tfb and kenny Dobbs and those YouTube Dunkers

George shoulda won, probably would’ve won if he had gotten the sticker windmill on the first try. /and Derrick Williams simply embarrassed himself
with that third attempt. That was painful to watch.

new rules: no props, no teammates, no skits. just dunks.

Man did this contest suck. Based off what I saw Iman Shumpert would’ve had this in the bag with his idea.

  • shutup

I just wish people would stop trying to invoke sentimentality with the throwbacks, it was cute the first 5 times now its just a gimmick, and the jumping over people sh!t is old too. The black light dunk was wack imo because you couldnt see it, and the side of the backboard thing was ok, AI9 did it off that back of the backboard so did howard. Just a few ideas off top, two handed from the freethrow line, someone do the jordan switch hands but dunk it with the left (instead of layup)The John Wall /J.R. Smith behind the back to a 360. The larry Bird sticker one woulda been ok if he got it the first try but I seen someone in the dunk contest at west 4th street tap the ball on one side of the rim into like a reverse windmill on the other side.

Yes this dunk contest was waaaaaaaack. First off, whoever had the idea of letting Kenny Smith “host” should be on unemployment. I like Kenny but he is way over-exposed. You’d think he was a perinneal All-star with as much face-time that he gets…

I think some of y’all are too harsh. This contest was pretty good considering who was in it. My only problem is Kenny hosting this sh*t. He’s very annoying and it takes too much time. And you could tell George was pissed lol

  • http://www.slamonline.com Red

Shumpert woulda had it by jumping over a couch? Yeah you’re an idiot.

  • http://slamonline.com Fut.

Couch way more impressive to clear than Lowrider Motorbike anyday of the week though.

  • Paul H

I knew this dunk contest was going to be a snooze fest. Who needs sedatives when you can numb yourself up with this tripe.

  • Tempest

What’s funny is white boy buddinger came second in the voting by a few %. Imagine if he won! Yall are haters I was entertained

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

This new format is trash, hated Kenny hosting. I agree with yall that the props need to go. That Dunk George did with the stickers was really dope, but everyone was so distracted by what he was doing with the sticker, they failed to realize the degree of difficulty.

  • http://www.slamonline.com spit hot fiyah

^we also basically failed to see it, but the dunk was dope. VC light

  • http://nyill.wordpress.com/ O

@ Red, yeah, Shumpert woulda had it by jumping over an infamous couch with the guy who got the loudest applause at the Rising Stars game laying on it throwing him an alley-oop. Real idiotic, but simple enough for your retarded ass to understand…

  • EJ

Larry Bird sticker dunk was nice.

  • Zabbah

For all you people who think this is the worst dunk contest ever, go back a few years and check out the one where they had that retarded spin the wheel thing that chose a dunk for them.

  • Baby Shaq

I think that Paul Goerge should have won he had more than 1 good good dunk unlike Jeremy Evens. Paul George all the way!!!!!!!!
