Video: Alex Poythress Puts in Work… at Wendy’s

The only McDonald’s All-American ever to work at Wendy’s?

While rolling through Tennessee for the Penny Hardaway Hoopfest with our friends from CityLeagueHoops, we stopped in Clarksville, TN, to check out an exclusive workout with Kentucky recruit Alex Poythress. The workout wound up starting a little later than anticipated because Alex was still at work. At work where? Wendy’s, making him perhaps the only McDonald’s All-American ever to work at the popular fast food chain.

    Well honestly alot of other high school players don’t actually have time for a job and school and basketball. I wonder how his grades are.

    His grades are good! He is ranked number 9 in his class and takes tough AP courses. All this while working hard on the court and holding down a job. Super young man!
