Sammy Prahalis is ready to do work in the WNBA.

Sammy Prahalis, the 5-foot-7 uptempo guard from Ohio State, was selected No. 6 overall by the Phoenix Mercury in Monday’s WNBA draft. Here’s video of the Long Island product and longtime SLAM favorite putting in work with renowned trainer Jerry Powell. Sammy can shoot if need be, but her primary focus in Phoenix will be getting Diana Taurasi the ball, something the Big Ten’s all-time assist leader should have no problem doing.

    @Vongustendt. I don’t see anything weird about her release. Just looks like a normal release. Doesn’t matter how you release it anyway, as long as it goes in.
