Video: Blake Griffin Posterizes Pau Gasol … Again

BG refuses to leave the Lakers big man alone.

It hasn’t been a very good night for Pau Gasol so far, as he has been humiliated on two occassions by an airborne Blake Griffin. (On the second dunk, though, the Clipper star should probably have been called for an offensive foul, as Griffin clearly elbowed Pau in the head.)

Like my momma always told me…1st time shame on them but the 2nd time shame on you. Pau the 1st time it was shame on Blake for catching you with your back to him…2nd time it is shame on you for daring to jump with that young man!!!

  • http://dillanleuyahoo.com Holy Baller

God this is even more enjoyable than the first one….

  • http://dillanleuyahoo.com Holy Baller

After my Thunder shoot themselves in the foot against Miami, it’s nice to at least get the consolation of watching Pau get destroyed not once, but TWICE. Almost makes it a good night.

  • http://www,nba.com VanCityBBall

look on the bright side pau… at least u will make SOME highlight reel the week

  • http://slamonline.com Fut.

The fact he elbows him in the head makes it even better. Just love it.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Nice dunk but the first one was better and I think he pushed off a little with the left.

  • Ben

    Bynum = Great Teammate

  • Jer Boi

  • ttc

Bynum’s face on the last replay is just classic!!!

  • shawnkemp4prez

LMAO at Bynum’s reaction at 0:51, hahaha

  • http://www.reverbnation.com/tray24 T-Ray

LMFAO Bynum looking like “Got D@mn my son!”

  • tomtom

I’m not hatin cos the first one was really nice, but this is a foul. Same as the Mozgov..p.s. we got the W lol

  • http://twitter.com/niyosimba niyosimba

Pau’s expression after the dunk = priceless.

  • IamYOU

  • Jay

    Bynum’s expression at 0:50 haha!

  • Davidbean

Blake does too much posturing. Makes him come across as a d0uche. Also, I think he is the only player that is allowed to punch someone in the face before they dunk.

  • http://www.nicekicks.com Chris

Forearm shiver on a dunk is an offensive foul, not this time though?

On my way to a nasty busy day @ work but i’l be the one smiling knowing i have this game to watch 2nite. Jeah. Thanx Griffles for makin my day.

April 4, 2012: The Emasculation of Pau Gasol

  • http://www.boogiewilliams.com Boing Dynasty

“Oh, he gon’ cry in the car”

  • hegotsgame

  • @Deknowz

Pau, I don’t think you heard what he was saying the first time brother. smh

  • Dungeon Family

Did all that dunking and didn’t show up at all in the 4th quarter

  • Drig

This is obviously a foul. Forearm push before the dunk. Refs better call that cause they’re making street guys look like they’re playin organized ball.

  • http://www.slamonline.com spit hot fiyah

@boing. i think his grandmama gave him that chain

  • Ronald

Should’ve been two fouls. One on the elbow to the head. Two the shove at the end.

LMAO, rough night for Pau Gasol…that was utter ownage.

  • jesus

    lakers won.

  • http://slamonline.com Brad Long

When did the Lakers hire Shawn Bradley as an assistant coach? Looks like he has really been working hard with Pau.

  • floe

someone’s gonna hurt this guy bad if he keeps this up or tries to pull this crap in the playoffs. start working on that finesse game blake.

  • Cizzo

Man…Gasol took an elbow to the grill severely…

    @jesus true.

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance DFrance21

What does the Lakers winning have to do with this highlight? This was an offensive foul, but sometimes you just gotta let some stuff slide for the betterment of the highlight reel.

The Blake Show got the “oohs and aahhs” while The Lake Show “just” got the boring ol’ win.

  • T-Money

that was an offensive foul, no question. but i’m not mad at the ref for looking the other way. there’s an implicit rule in the nba that when you get dunked on, you don’t get the call. ever.

  • abaci

Cosign @Davidbean is coming off like a douche more and more. It was a dope dunk but he is feeling himself too much.

  • Detroit Dave

    ewwwwww WEE…

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance DFrance21

@T-Money Almost always. They called an offensive on Kobe when he threw it on Nash that. And they called a charge on a ridiculous Jeremy Evans dunk this year. Blake has been acting like a douche all year. if its not the posturing after a dunk, its complaining to the refs, or flopping when he gets hit.

  • JBoogie

His facial expressions and mannerisms after all these dunks is becoming too much. Eventually you are going to see more Jason Smiths just taking a hack at him. He is a good player, but seems to be growing a bigger attitude every day. I mean you won’t to be excited I get it, but Deandre Jordan can only push you so many times before it gets kind of stale.

  • fruizm

hahaha the cleaning girl asking Sessions to move is even better hahaha!

@fruizm, lol I went back and watched it again, and when I saw the cleaning girl tap Ramon on the arm to move for her I bust out laughing. She had quite a mess to clean up after!

  • @boweezy24

Refs Shoud Of Called That. No Wonder Why Basketball Can Get Violent Haha. Nice Dunks Tho.

  • http://www.fiba.com Darksaber

Entertaining game, from Kobe AND Tuffjuice going bonkers on offense in the 1st half to multiple great dunks by Blake & DeAndre, Chris Paul realizing a bit late that he is the most agile, fastest guy on the court (man he has uncanny ballcontrol)
I agree this was a pushoff but laughed, my butt off when Pau stood up and started lamenting his pain to the refs. As if refs reverse foul calls, let alone the kind that brings the crowd to their collective feet.
    Whine-Pau at his finest.

  • -Mas-

“Gran victoria antes nuestros vecinos. Muy bueno que Andrew (Bynum) esté de vuelta sano y jugando tan bien. Prefiero las victorias a los highlights”. Great win over our Neighbors. Great to see Andrew healthy and playing so good. I prefer WINS over highlights.

  • bike

If I was Brown I would have called a timeout and told Artest to kill Blake.

  • -Mas-

Blake Griffin= Vince Carter. Zero titles. Pau Gasol= Tim Duncan. Multiple titles. If you want to compare. I don’t see Blake winning a title any time soon. Until then…

  • Hart

On another note, did he make the free throw?

  • Waggle

How about cutting back on the mean mugging and hitting a free throw Blake?

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance21

    That makes 0 sense.

  • http://www.yahoo.com The Fury

Bynum for teammate of the year…lol…and DOUBLE LOL for the girl showing Sessions who’s the boss.

  • Michelle

Off arm elbow in the face= offensive foul= NEXT

  • shutup

The rule goes if he doesnt extend the arm and its not unnatural to his body motion then its not a foul besides the arm was out before Pau jumped. Pau was not standing still but coming forward, its unfortunate that he caught it to the grill, but all those claiming it was a foul got some serious hate issues. As for the mean mugging…really guys, if you pulled that off on a nerf hoop on one of your buddies you’d be “posturing” too, eh, maybe thats just me. I for one loved Vince’s after dunk antics. One last note, if Blake keeps doing what he’s doing by the end of his career rings or not he will double or triple his career earnings vs Gasol.

  • eyal

did no one else notice bynum’s ridiculous facial expression on the replay??

  • http://juan.garcia@computershare.com Knowledge

in the end the best team won. We here in LAKER land only get excited with parades. Everything else is for the other teams fans to enjoy before the inevitable… “maybe next year”.

  • http://www.yahoo.com berkamore

Gotta love Bynum, making fun of his own teammate. But guess who was guarding Griffin at the beginning of the play?….Andrew Bynum. smh.

  • robb

Nice elbow. Try to remember what you do to others the next time you flop.

  • BuzzerBeater

Just want to get peoples opinion on this if Pau had a poor defense switching late, or should Kobe/Bynum get the blame how they defended the pick and roll?

  • http://theurbangriot.com The NUPE

This shows more of immature Bynum is. I think this should have been a foul but was still an awsome dunk. Too bad players feel such a need to mean mug etc. and then miss the free throw afterwards.

  • http://www.reverbnation.com/tray24 T-Ray

Then he wonders why people hit him so damn hard.

  • trusoldier77

whether is was a foul or not it was and awesome play but he is just a one trick pony. the lakers got the w and thats whats important coming down to a tight playoff race.

  • add

    dam just dam…

  • Jerome

I’m not sure, but I think Blake may want to trade places with Pau come playoff time. Blake should have been given a technical as well.

  • JMS

OK, so really not a fan but whats with the shove from his own teammate??

  • http://postimage.org/image/v28j0v6il/ IAMORANGE4EVER

@eyal I checked that out and got a screen shot of Bynum looking like he was amused (loL) at the sight of (his teammate) Pau Gasol getting dunked on by Blake Griffin. Click my name to see it. :D

  • LP

i just knew I would see douchebags in here calling it a OFFENSIVE foul…you guys should play basketball more often… is blake supposed to ALLow Pau Gasol to Flagrant 1 foul him? no, the aggressor always wins. shame on you, Gasol, for getting dunked on twice.

  • Shecky Shabazz

@i am you… I see what you did there

  • http://slamonline.com Ugh

    Brad Long WINS THE THREAD,
shutup wins the argument, though. He knows what an offensive foul is.
