Video: Chandler Parsons Pulls a ‘Kobe’ on Kobe

Impressive footwork from the rookie.

Chandler Parsons scored 13 points on 5-7 shooting, including this nice bucket… against Kobe… in Kobe’s crib.

Who the hell is this guy? He’s got some hops and some nice moves.

The steal of the draft is who he is. Plays toughnosed defense and is almost KD-like with his combination of athleticism and height. Not quite as tall or quick as Durant, though. He can basically guard 2 through 4… Really like this guy.

This didnt make the NBA’s top 10 plays. Anyone surprised? im not. *cough*

Nice move and finish. Pretty good recovery by Kobe to get a hand up too.

im pretty sure this da guy that got dunked on by rose when he was in suns?haha

  • wesjet23

No Str8 from Samoa, The guy that passed the ball to him got destroyed by Rose, Parsons is only in his rookie year

so much for a very “weak” rookie class….

  • http://www.yahoo.com The Fury

@Jukai…he may be the future of the Rockets though, very underrated skilled player. I saw a Rockets game one time on NBATV, and he did a lot of good things, didn’t score much though but very effective. He doesn’t play like a rookie.

    Florida Gators represent

    Go Gators

Cosign Shadojoker. Footwork is on point. Haven’t seen him play much but I hear he’s got a veteran-like offensive game. Seems underrated, but real talk: that’s probably just because he is white.

Definitely a steal for the rockets, SEC player of the year. Nba GM’s way to hyped on pg’s let them steal this kid

    Not bad…not bad at all.

not to be a hater but he lifted his pivot foot on the spin. So it was a walk

  • Michelle

Last time Kobe also gave him props for his defense against him. Pretty good player. Steal of the draft

  • Hart

    Love this guy. Great Defender

  • Yesse

    That move took some balls.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Everyone lifts their pivot foot while doing this move, so if that’s the only thing you noticed while watching this video…something is wrong with ya.

  • What

@ str8, that was dragic, and one of the greatest dunks of all time imo

  • fruizm

@str8 from samoa…..NO…please follow the NBA a little bit more if you want to comment on this website!

  • Towelie

    Has hops.

    Looks like Bam Margera.

I’ve really been surprised by Parsons. I actually thought he was overrated the way they raved about him at Florida. But he’s realizing all that potential that they spoke of. Its funny how some guys like KD and Melo dominate college and then dominate in the NBA, then you have guys like Parsons or Westbrook, where the college game kinda holds them back and then they really flourish in the pro game.

And if the refs called THAT a travel, nba games would be 6 hours long.

  • ash

    Nice move

    oral anyone ? hmmmm

  • PeteRocks129

So what? , my Grandmother could smoke kobe. He never has and never will play D! He”s what we call here in NYC a “nut” (ballhog)

  • roybot

@PeteRocks How does ballhogging relate in any way to defense? Also, Kobe has been 11(yes ELEVEN)-time All-Defensive player in the NBA, which is no easy feat man given that Timmy D holds the overall record with 13 selections.

  • Joe Black

Funny, nutjobs is what everyone else calls wannabe’s from NYC.
