Preview: Metta World Peace Gets Punk’d

MWP meets MTV. Unknowingly.

Get More: Punk’d, Full Episodes

This Thursday night, chances are you’ll be watching the Nuggets battle the Lakers, who will be playing without Metta World Peace, as he’ll be serving the very end of his six-game suspension. But if you want just a little World Peace in your life this Thursday—say, during a commercial break—you can swing over to MTV and watch the new episode of Punk’d, which will feature what looks to be a solid prank on none other than MWP himself. Check out a preview for the segment above.

    He might kill again…

F*ck that moron…I hope someone injures him so he can’t play the rest of the playoffs…he should have been suspended longer. I have zero respect for him as a basketball player.

First time I’ve every wished injury on someone…but he seriously doesn’t deserve to be playing. He has a history of violence and a$$holery and he needs to be punished more than a 6 game suspension.

    LOL at Wayno.
    Ron’s Awesome!

  • Yesse

    This show is still going?

  • Jerome

Artest is a walking Punk’d display.

lol Wayno, the first time you wish injury on someone, it’s directed at an athlete whose worst crime was elbowing someone in the head? Also comparable, MAYBE, was his beating up some rowdy Pistons’ fans? A lot of worse people than Ron Artest in the world, holmes… I like that anger, but save it for someone who deserves it.

If I’d been an actor going into that sketch with ron, I’d be scared…

Ok, so I went over the line wanting someone to get hurt, whatever…my point is that petty suspensions (even 72 game suspensions) don’t get the point accross to him. He’s going to keep being violent on the court and someone is going to get seriously hurt. You do realize that if an elbow like that connected with a dudes temple it could kill him, right? He was pretty damn close to that. Dude is mentally unstable and violent. He throws an elbow so cheap it made Karl Malone cringe, then he only gets 6 games…that’s messed up.

wayno cut the crap karl malone knocked tim duncan unconcious and got no suspension the man is servin his time and yet people like you still whine i got a stack of money you wouldn’t wish injury on him to his face people pueposely try to hurt blake griffin every night nobodies bashin them, james harden ran up under him for no reason not sayin he deserved the bow but i bet you he stops doin that in the future

    13. April 24, 2012: 7 games for an elbow to James Harden’s head.
    12. May 5, 2011: 1 game for hitting J.J. Barea in the face.
    11. July 14, 2007: 7 games for domestic violence.
    10. April 24, 2006: 1 game for a flagrant elbow.
    9. November 21, 2004: 72 games and the playoffs for fighting with Pistons fans.
    8. March 19, 2004: 1 game for a flagrant elbow.
    7. March 20, 2003: 2 games for accumulated flagrant foul points.
    6. March 13, 2003: 1 game for a flagrant foul.
    5. March 9, 2003: 1 game for accumulated flagrant foul points.
    4. February 26, 2003: 1 game for disciplinary reasons.
    3. January 29, 2003: 4 games for all sorts of stuff.
During a 2003 game between Artest’s Pacers and the Miami Heat, Artest flipped off the crowd, flagrantly fouled the Heat’s Caron Butler, “confronted and made contact” with Heat coach Pat Riley, and taunted the Heat bench. All of that earned Artest a four-game unpaid vacation.
    2. January 4, 2003: 3 games for throwing a television monitor and smashing a camera.
    1. February 21, 2001: 1 game for fighting.

You’re right bmorezbest, he’ll probably stop being a d*ck now…he’s always learned from his mistakes…smh

  • http://www.slamonline.com Wayno

Also, Harden didn’t “run up under him for no reason” watch the video man. He brushed by him to go get the inbound. On top of that, MWP shows 0 remorse and is completly dissmisive about it. I can’t believe how many morons defend this dude…

  • Marc

honestly who are you to judge. If you came here to troll it’s just sad. And to call him violent is stupid. Cause i’m pretty sure alot of dudes in the nba throw elbows (not at the head with force) but still. But to say he deserves to be suspended 72 games is ridiculous. Also i’m not defending what he did. It was idiotic but to wish someone would get hurt is just stupid. How do you know he has no remorse? Have you spoke to him personally? Come on get over it. He didn’t elbow you.

  • Marc

only god can judge. Get off your high horse. He has made mistakes.

  • Marc

Your also forgetting that he has won a citizen award. And many people have said he is a good person. You can’t just show the bad without the good he has done.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Wayno

He’s made ALOT of mistakes…and he obviously hasn’t learned from them. Also, if you’re going to throw God into the mix, the Bible says that you SHOULD judge others based on the standards that you yourself wish to be judged by. I invite anyone to judge me based on violence in my past homie, they may feel free to do so. Also, who the he!! cares if he won a citizenship award, he’s still throwing elbows like it’s an MMA fight excapt the other guy wasn’t fighting back…so add coward to the list of things Ron is.

  • Marc

Again i’m not defending what he did? I just don’t think it’s right to come on this particular site to troll on something that has nothing to do with the video. And to talk bad about him like your a better person.
