Emotional Boston Celtics Exit Game 7 (VIDEO)

The Celtics may never look the same.

An indelible scene broke out toward the end of the Game 7 showdown between the Celtics and Heat, as Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and Doc Rivers came to the crushing realization that they may have worked together for very the last time.

Say what you will about Miami fans, but that ovation was pure class.

What can I say… this was inevitable. After all, the Celtics will soon be on the decline again. Props to Miami fans; they were good giving the opposition a standing ovation (aside from the usual “We know we won” excitement).

Leave it to Kevin “Bleeeeepin” Garnett and the Celts to get us feeling all warm n’ stuff this morning. I have a feeling this group won’t soon be forgotten by all the C’s fans fortunate enough to watch them in depth over the past 5 years…

I’m happy Rondo and Garnett are not being bashed for just walking off the court like the last time that happened with a different team.

Didn’t LeBron skip on a handshake against Orlando and get creamed !?

I gained more respect for the Celtics this year than any year of the last 5. I said this was their last year to compete for a chip. I was right. They were on the verge. Simply put, Avery Bradley and Jeff Green would have put this team in the finals that’s how close it was. BUT, Thunder vs Heat is my 2nd favorite choice for this years finals so I am thrilled to see it come to this.
Much respect to this Celtics team. Much respect.
