Jay-Z to Executive Produce NBA 2K13 Soundtrack (VIDEO)

The partial Nets owner brings his expertise to a new medium.

Jay-Z announced on his website today that he will be the executive producer of NBA 2K13, which is due out October 2. The 2K series was already pretty awesome. Now that Jay-Z’s involved, there’s no reason to expect it not to get even better.

    The music is usually good wtf. But I’m buying 2k(for D Rose) but I believe Live will be better. Unless 2k has a Beyonce unlockable.

    uhm, Live looks like it is going to be delayed. And the E3 showing of it was encouraging in the way that it will be a successful dumpster fire. Anybody whose excited about Live this year probably just got done playing in traffic. Or has little to no basketball_iQ

    Well… that discussion was based on Basketball IQ’s comment that Davis would play PF. So… that explains the confusion. The confusion was that we took one of his comments seriously.

    um can you people not read that it says soundtrack! He isn’t programming anything in the game. He probably is helping to select the songs that will be in the game and not much else. This is purely marketing. With that said, hopefully they can iron out the issues created in 2k12. 2k11 was the much better game.
