The U.S. men finish their pre-Olympic tour with a perfect 5-0 record.

Carmelo Anthony paced the U.S. with 27 points, helping to hold off the hungry and talented Spaniards.

    I can’t understand why Anthony Davis isn’t playing more. I know he’s from college, I know this is his first time on team USA, I know he only filled in for Griffin, but this guy is undeniable gifted on the defensive end, he blocks everything. IMO he’s already ‘looking’ better than Tyson Chandler, who’s been nothing short of terrible in these exibition games. I’m not trying to say they should start AD but if TC can START on this team, Davis should def get some playing time. BTW, Love is not doing very well either and those 2 guys are our only ‘real’ PF’s.

    ^^Im with ya. i think AD at least should get some 4th qt playing time. even if its just he last 2 min. i hate to see a possible learning experience go to waste. then again he practices everyday with lebron and kobe and kd. i think if AD goes on to have a stellar career, hes going to look back at these olympics as the best thing that ever happened to him.

    Spain let go the game intentionally. They didn’t want to show a lot. Spain can win the gold medal. They didn’t play too much zone defense last night. Navarro and Rudy were playing at 60%. They were missing the passing game of Marc Gasol and his aggressive inside. They were missing Sergio Rodriguez at the second unit and his facility to create options for another players. They were missing the best version of LLull. The offensive rebounds of Felipe. They play lazy after first quarter. And the referees allow too much contact of usa players. Carmelo and Lebron was fouling Gasol every play almost. The next time it will be different. And maybe Carmelo will not shoot the lights out. Coach K (¿is really coaching this team?) in the first quarter was desperate over the referees.

    USA Selection is a shame. All all-star, all obligations of Nike and Adidas, and without thinking at team structure. They need centers, if not the best, the best available. Chandler shoot 1 field goals in two games and Love was better rebounding at limiting time. Chandler is awful. Defense of the Year is a joke. Davis must play more minutes. He is a best shoot blocker, more athletic, and best rebounder, and best shooter than Chandler. Love also is a best option.
