The Best of Manu Ginobili

Thirty-five of the 35-year-old’s top plays and moments.

Compiled by Leo Sepkowitz

Today, July 28, Manu Ginobili is celebrating his 35th birthday. And in honor of the Spurs guard, we’ve compiled 35 of his greatest plays. But rather than throw all 35 at you at once, we broke them down as follows:

Videos 1-14 are his top passes. Videos 15-22 are his finest buckets—be it a layup, jumper or otherwise. 23-27 are his greatest clutch moments. 28-30 features three of his nicest blocks. 31-35 is something of a miscellaneous group. So scroll through the gallery above and take in the best of Ginobili’s 10-year career.

Happy born day, Manu!

Haha #35 never gets old. You could have put 50 of his greatest plays up and there would still be so many left off. His baseball pass to Tiago this year, the bounce passes he puts out in front of teammates with a spin on them so they seem to come back, the dunk on Yao, etc. Is there anyone else who can say they’ve blocked KD, KG & Wade, let alone a SG? One of the best and most entertaining to ever play the game. It’s been a lot of fun watching him this last decade. I really hope he can stay healthy the rest of his career.

Time flies…he’s one of those players I never wanted to see get older. Yet as long as he has that spark/craziness, I’ll be happy…

BTW…versus Lithuania, Manu had 21pts, 10 reb, 4 stl, and 6 assts. FIBA keeps an interesting statistic: he also drew 8 fouls.

My favourite shooting guard and lefty. Don’t know about you guys, but i’d like him to be in the conversation for HOF when he retires.

Other than Kobe, no other person scares me with the ball in their hands more than this guy…well that is until Durantula came along.

ginobili belongs in the hof no question about it. I always have imagined earl the pearl monroe having a ginobiliesque game. Manu is straight up SICK with it, and like one of yall said, other than kobe, manu is the most dangerous player in the clutch of the last decade. nowadays, obviously durant belongs up there, but manu is COLD BLOODED. gotta love em. clutchest player in the league? manu, kobe, or KD…

  • Rainman

He’s a hall of famer. No question. Also, when healthy, ive said it before and will say it again. he is the 3rd best sg in the L. right behind kobe and wade. He just has all the intangibles to make a team great. he is a pleasure to watch
