James Harden Gets Ankles Broken By a Nigerian Player (VIDEO)

Harden gets caught on a vicious crossover.

Team USA may have won by 83 points over Nigeria yesterday — while posting an Olympic record 156 points—but the Nigerians can take a bit of solace knowing that guard Tony Skinn crossed up James Harden in horrifying fashion (poor James did the splits while trying to recover. Yikes.)

    Great move and Harden was put on skates, but Team USA should have given Eric Gordon the nod over him. Having three OKC players on the team is not right.

    @ Heals That’s because Melo was clowning him all game long. Every time he caught it, Melo was yelling the dreaded “Self Check! Self Check!” So Ike was making it a point to prove him wrong and stare down the bench every time he scored. I love all the soundbites from this Olympics unlike regular NBA coverage where almost all player talking is cut off unless they want you to hear how great so-and-so is at talking. It’s great to hear Lebron barking out defensive adjustments from the back and Tyson too. CP3 telling Kobe they coming right back to him on the next possesion. Melo telling K-Love to get the f out of the paint on a free throw rebound. Melo telling Nigerian dude shooting free throws that he’s playing for the US and won’t make the shots. Sure enough, dude misses both. Melo telling Tony Skynn (sp?) that he don’t want it with Russ, after Russ got that tomahawk dunk. I never thought Melo talks this much.

    How did harden make this team over gordon? I think bc coach k didn’t want someone of gordon’s caliber riding pine as he might-not’ve taken it well.
    I do think harden is good tho & deserves to start in okc.

    maybe because Gordon isn’t fully back to the Eric Gordon everyone remembers? Maybe because Harden can play the 3. Maybe because monetary reasons? One of those.

    I think Gordon’s contact issues at the time of the team selection kept him out of contention. I don’t think DWill or Blake could go 5-on-5 until they re-signed. I’m not sure why you can’t play, at least for the US, as a free agent before signing.

    Harden gets crossed one time when the US is up by 80 and he doesn’t deserve to be on the team? Wow, tough crowd. Gordon spent most of the camp whining about his contract and not wanting to go back to New Orleans and played in what 9 games last year. Harden actually played a full season and was a key part of his team making the Finals. Putting Harden on the team is the equivalent of adding Tayshaun Prince. He’s an unselfish player with a complete floor game. The team doesn’t need more scoring.

    Can’t see it now but sounds funny. 4skinn is better than aftskin. I’m so very salty that harden played the series of his life vs spurs(serge too) then totally shat the bed in the finals, a truly epic turd laying event.
