In honor of the point guard’s birthday, a visual recap of all things Linsanity.

Twenty-three was a big year for Jeremy Lin. In mere months, the point guard rose from an overlooked D-League player to an MSG star to an international phenomenon to a Houston Rocket, and he cashed in on his improbable, if not absolutely amazing, 26-game stretch to the tune of $25 million. Today he turns 24. In honor of his born day and the wild year that was, we’re taking you through a Linsanity video montage: It kicks off with Lin’s first points in a Knicks uni, and goes through his surreal success, the explosion of hype, his injury and his eventual departure to the Houston Rockets.     I for my part, was very grateful for the Lin phenomenon this past year. It was just what NY and the rest of the league needed. Shame it didn’t work out for this coming season as well, but we’ll always have the memories of the Knicks playing as a cohesive unit for a while (bench contributing and all). Good luck this year Amar’e, Melo & Co…
