Nicolas Batum Punches Juan Carlos Navarro in the Nuts (VIDEO)

The French guard decided he was tired of Spain’s flopping.

Nicolas Batum believed Spain was flopping all game, so he decided to punch Juan Carlos Navarro in the groin to “give him a good reason to flop.” Uh, sure. Reasonable enough. Watch the French guard bring the pain in the video above.

    I love Nicolas Batum

LMAO at “give him a good reason to flop” that’s awesome

  • http://none JIM PUGH

What a classless act. So when a MAN is pissed at another man, his first inclination is to TOUCH HIS NUTS!

  • http://slamonline.com The Philosopher

Then he was like, “You want something?” to the other player on Team Spain.
    Ol’ competition.

  • Ev

Awesome! Just became a die hard fan!

  • http://www.slamonline.com spit hot fiyah

u became a fan of someone who takes a cheap shot at someone’s private parts? next step: re-evaluate life

  • Lisa

a)Spain tanked his game versus Brazil. (As France did in the last Eurobasket).
b)Navarro is one of the biggest floppers of ALL time. Something irritating. Plus his trash talk
c)Spain has won 10 of the last 11 games to France. The frustration is evident. The best generation of French players have seen how the best generation of Spanish players blocked his moment again and again.
d)France huge collapse in the last quarter. Just 4 points in 9 minutes 55 seconds. This was his moment of change history against and awful Spain.

Olympics have become a free for all on low blows.

  • qwerty

LOL at batum for nutshot and giving navarro a good reason to flop. heck no wonder trailblazers want him bad.

    Malice of the Phallus.

  • rudohs

this should be mandatory punishment for ridiculous flopping in NBA.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Good. I’m tired of europeans and all the flopping they do. When you can not matchup physically, the next option is to flop and flail like a fish out of water.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Nick Tha Quick

Jerry Colangelo announces that Reggie Evans has been called up to the National Team to provide a relatively unknown kind of offense known as the “Pick and Tug.” Chris Kaman seen shuddering.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

Batum must be the only french in history to go down fighting.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

LOL @ Calderon rushing at Batum and then looking the other way when Batum calls his bluff.

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

One could make a case that he made a play on the ball.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

    @ JTaylor, I think he made a play on both balls . . .

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

I just hope Batum doesn’t end his own career when he goes back to the NBA and continues his own excessive flopping.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

Nick the Quick with another gem. Special team option A. Reggie Evans.
Hate the flopping, but daaaayuuum Batum. I don’t like him so this isn’t awesome to me. Although I see the side who likes seeing flopping punished for once. I would love Scola to get one of those from someone. K-Love? Ehh?

  • wUTuPtHOOO

    BANGKOK DANGEROUS!!!!!

  • Steve the cannon

    Lmao these comments are hilarious

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Pick N Tug is defense, Nick, not offense. Get it right, man. (in most instances it’s a boxout technique)

    That was a solid shot.

  • Red Star

Weak NB! Next time use your BB IQ instead of your fist! Weak, weak, weak!

  • http://Roosterteeth.com Caboose

Anyone who applauds this is a scary individual. That was a malicious act, plain and simple. He was trying to HURT him; the motivation doesn’t matter. Remember everybody calling for MWP’s head after the Harden shot? This is the same thing: a premeditated strike at full strength to a vulnerable body part by someone bigger.

  • A.

Leandro Barbosa just made the play of the Olympics. Crossover with the defender spinning around then falling, then the 3 pointer to punctuate the play.

  • MUBWAR

that should be an automatic ejection. what`s with the horrible oversees officiating. somewhere stern is like: I told you my boys are the best

  • A.

Defender was Nocioni. Oh my God.

  • http://www.twitter.com/_dfrance dfrance

I’m against flopping like the everyone else, but as a man, how can you condone this type of behavior? He went after the mans nuts wtf???

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

that boy Calderon didn’t want none of that action.
“What you sprinting over here for boy?”

  • elmaar

i can bet navarro crossed the line whether he said something abusive or did something similar to batum previously
    the french won’t cheapen themselves

  • Myke-bigga

If that was ron artest it’d be all over espn and everybody would be talking about how crazy he is. But since its batum we can just laugh it off and congratulate him smh

  • Mas

Hey Nico! How did that offer sheet with the T-Wolves? Stay in Portland and win nothing! jajaja.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

Allen you sound kind of proud of a dude socking another dude in the nuts. I know it’s dumb, flopping, white, euro dudes, but it’s just a stupid act like a MWP bow. Nothing to be proud of here.

  • Mas.2

Batum will enjoy watching how Spain continues while he whacks his own junk at home. jajaja.

  • pposse

never ever seen a grown man take a shot like that at another grown mans nuts. I liked Batum when he put up the two fingers after he dunked on Pau, but this takes away all your cool points. I know no foreigners are getting mad about flopping anyways, thats nonsense!

  • big red

    fantastic!

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Nah, punching dudes in the nuts is not kosher at all. I don’t understand why that’s the go-to move instead of just punching them in the face to be honest.
But, it was still funny that Calderon made that big production of running up on Batum and Batum let him know that he could get a fresh two-piece if he was really interested.

  • vtrobot

ha ha spit hot and taylor.

  • Thomas

@lisa yes, a b c & d are all true… but that doesn’t excuse the man for trying to hurt his opponent. This is a sporting match. If you can’t take a little frustration, you have no business playing.

  • Mike

    That was cheap. Respect lost

  • http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/22/mark-cuban-skip-bayless-first-take-lebron_n_1619209.html albie1kenobi

the best part was calderon corralling the ball before he walked up to Batum. “wait i can’t let this ball go out of bounds”

  • LA Huey

    Gotta co-sign Allenp.
Also, looks like JTaylor might’ve been right when it came to me questioning why Spain didn’t have Serge’s back earlier against the Argentines. They sure sprinted like hell to come to Calderon’s aid.

  • http://thahiphopcorner.com Kevin

I honestly dont know why Jose Calderon was running up like he wanted any part of any type of physical altercation.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

I don’t think Batum gives a damn about anyone’s respect unless they live in France. If he did, he wouldn’t have done this. So, boohoo – what he did was completely wrong. But it was also not the first time someone has done that during these Olympics. Except the Olympic Committee has blocked the videos rights on Youtube to the other incident…

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

I too co-sign AP’s more well put comment.

  • fruizm

    This was amazing!

  • http://slamonline.com Allenp

Actually it was just more verbose. The first comment was concise and more entertaining in my opinion.

  • LA Huey

Also, I’m surprised that cats don’t sock each other in the nuts more often considering you don’t even get tossed from the game. In the NBA, you get a T for just mean-mugging the ref.
