Allen Iverson’s Crossover Makes a Defender in China Fall (VIDEO)

AI’s still got it.

Allen Iverson and a bunch of former NBA players took part in an exhibition game over the weekend, and even though he didn’t finish on this particular play, Iverson let fans in China know that his crossover can still send defenders crumbling to the floor.

In watching highlights, it was amazing to see Iverson`s explosiveness. Pros and cons: he was easily able to create shots for himself, passing was impressive though his jumper wasn`t sharp which
comes to know surprise as there inevitably will be rust. But more importantly, A.I. still has the speed, quickness and dribble that sets him apart from others. Even when the defender backed up as to concede the jumper A.I. crossed him over without any self-aid (stepping on the defender`s foot) – a move that anybody would`ve bit on at the pro level. This was his 1st exhibition since March so it will be interesting to see his game come into form as he gets more games underneath his belt. With so little footage to work with nowadays compared to 5 years ago, it`s difficult not to over-analyze every shot, pass or dribbling move from this ONE game. But there is more to come which excites many fans as they want to see A.I. back in the nba. Me being one of them. For a true highlight see: Rudy Gay dunks over two Real Madrid defenders.

  • danpowers

    why should he?

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

Maybe because he’s a 37 year old grown man. He did wonders for the hairstyle along with everything else associated with hip hop culture. He can let it go now.

didnt know corn rows had smth to do with age. over here older guys wear that stuff too

Those aren`t cornrows. They`re plaits vertically attached to one another with the use of some mechanism probably a hair band. but even if they were cornrows what difference does it make to you or anyone else outside of A.I.? I don`t complain about as*le*s people and men in general squeezing their s*** into skinny jeans and these things are both disgusting and offensive to me.

I was at this game… and sadly, AI was awful. He had just 4 points and looked completely off. No NBA for him; I doubt if he’s even Chinese Basketball Association good. This crossover was the only bright moment all game. Wrote about this game on my blog today, check it out for the full analysis… http://hoopistani.blogspot.com/2012/10/allen-iverson-stephon-marbury-and.html

There is no question about this guys talent its his attitude…sometimes if we could just be less pride and more humble…goodluck…theres always room for improvement either in skills or attitude….

its a kind of sad to see Iverson playing in China. Still got plenty of game to be a factor in the NBA. He was born to play. Must really be blackballed!!!
