This guy is having the best preseason of any rookie.

disgusting! who saw the block he had on on the raptors in their first preseason game (ed davis i think) straight up spike. reminds me of a young mcdyess, denver version

  • Dymez

This kid is looking like a young beast out there. If he keeps his head straight, we may say “Who is Dwight Howard?” in a couple years.

  • Slick Ric

    Ok….Ok.

McDyess is a really good comparison.

Hes having a good pre season the cavs should have picked Harrison Barnes,Jeremy Lamb or this guy over waiters possibly pery jones too but thats a gamble. Harrison Barnes will win rookie of the year and have the best career

  • Max

Sweet, he’s looking good so far.

Pistons are coming back!!!! Knight Monroe Drummond all fell to the Pistons as teams passed on them. Drummond is in the same conversation with Anthony Davis when all the media calling Drummond a for sure bust. Pistons can make the playoffs this year and easily be contending in 3 years. Monroe and Drummond will be the 2nd best frontcourt after Lakers.

  • D-TOWN

I agree he is affecting the game without a play call, just him running the floor, finding open spots, offensive rebounds, and setting picks. Anthony Davis needs a bunch of shots and iso’s to hit 20ppg and Drummond got his working off of his teammates

Dude is gonna be a beast.

All I thought watching this video is “what an underachieving, overpaid bum Charlie Villenueva is.”

looks like Greg Oden out there. What should the Pistons do now when they have so many big men?

This sequence reminds me of young Amar’e when he first came in the league

  • cbb_fanatic

This guy is definitely having a great preseason. People were putting him and Anthony Davis down saying that neither would be much because big men take longer to develop. Well…not these big men! I have to admit I was doubtful about Drummond but for a good reason. He didn’t really assert himself and show much at the collegiate level. But you still have to take into consideration how young both him and Davis are, how quick they are to learn, and their athleticism.

  • cbb_fanatic

That’s not true!!! Davis is on a team where damn near EVERYBODY is new, are in the middle of learning to play with each other, and are lacking a good, stable PG. Drummond was able to come onto a team that is a hell of a lot more stable in its framework and retained a lot of its players. Davis has come close in all his games to acheiving double-doubles (most likely would’ve if Monty didn’t take him out). There is no comparison between these two; you have to look at the situations they are in. Yes, Drummond is doing better than expected and of course this kid is talented and has a high celing for potential, but don’t try to make this seem like he’s better equipped for the league than Davis!

  • cbb_fanatic

Slow down…he’s not really in the same convo as Anthony Davis, but he’s good nonetheless.
