Fenerbahce Ulker Defeats Celtics in Pre-Season Game (VIDEO)

Bo McCalebb & Co. defeat the Cs in Turkey.

After six days of practice and competitive scrimmaging, the Celtics finally got to play against some new faces on Friday in Istanbul. Things didn’t go so well, though, as the Cs lost to Turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker, 97-91. Good news for Boston is that Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green, who missed all of last season with a heart condition, led the team with 16 points each. Former Xavier guard Romain Sato paced Fenerbahce with 24 points, and Bo McCalebb added 21 points and 5 dimes.

Was really hoping the Spurs or some NBA team would find a way to sign Bo. No question he’d be a more-than-capable player in the League.

word.. id imagine he would great (!) addition to Hornets, since he is NO’s hero

at least they tried, his buy out was too complicated though since nba teams can only offer like half a mill. but it’s shame that mccalebb hasn’t set foot in the nba

I guess losing to some quality europeans and former college players is not that big of a deal when you factor in how little time this team has been together (not to mention an absence of KG and The Truth). Also Jeff Green looks good, I think he could do some good things this year as possibly the go to guy off the bench.

McCalebb looking solid as always. It would be great if he made it into the NBA.

Love Jeff Green. Glad he’s back and can’t wait to see how he fits in on this team.

Kevin and Paul played in the first half. I went to bed at halftime. Celtics were down.

Been watching Bo since he played at Partizan, truly an amazing player.

The Celtics are 12 deep. This loss notwithstanding, they look great.
