Gerald Green Nasty Two-Handed Alley-oop (VIDEO)

Green punctuates his preseason.

Just hours after a practice pic of Gerald Green looking down at the top of the rim was released on Instagram, the Pacers SG finished a highlight-heavy preseason with this serious oop against the Bulls.

i have a new concept for the slam dunk contest. two man teams. so for example. p george and g green. jr smith and james white. griffin and jordan. drummond and will bynum. no props except u can use your teamate to throw u lobs or whatever. then they get judged for their individual dunks but they get added up for each team. the league probably would never do it, but the thought came to me and i think it would be a nice twist since all they seem to do these days in bring in 4 dunker (2 of whom don’t even want to be there) and it ends up being wack. thouhgts?

  • ,ego no way

Lol tag team dunk off? Aren’t they aloud to get a lob or pass from anyone in the L? Don’t make sense to make it a tag team thing lmao

    NO

I personally find your idea great though!

That pick of Green looknig down at the rim was RIDICULOUS

I personally think they should do away with lobs, props and teammates altogether. Those things just add more opportunities for a player to miss a dunk. How man times have we watched a player miss attempt after attempt because the prop or lob wasn’t right?

He was really still going up when he dunked that ball, the kid is unreal.

How about East v. West. Based on fan votes, like all-star starters. Top four don’t fake the funk. ?

I totally dig this idea. It could infuse more excitement into the dunk contest. Might even get LeBron to finally enter, along side with his buddy Wade.

At the very least, it’ll be infinitely more interesting than the short-lived “2 Ball” competition introduced back in the late 90′s– which by the way replaced the Slam Dunk contest in 1998, when the All Star game was finally hosted in NYC, and a young me who idolized players like Jordan, Dominique, Kemp, Webb, Isiah Rider and other high flyers was so looking forward to the dunk contest. But instead, I got to see teams composed of a NBA guy with a WNBA player participating in what basically amounts to a shooting drill. F*cking 2 Ball!

This guy’s hops and hang time reminds me of a young Jordan.

I’m so mad the NBA has kept him away for two years. Real happy he’s still only 25 years old though.

    I mean 26

  • Rainman

    hahahaha

  • The Mauve Avenger

I think he sleeps in those concords.

they really need a prize for the dunk contest, money for a charity of choice probably then if they decline they look heartless, perfect way to finally get lebron to the dunk contest

  • Yesse

    Dope idea, man!
