Danny Green Hits Game-Winning Three Over Kobe Bryant (VIDEO)

The Spurs swingman downs the Lakers.

Danny Green took advantage of Kobe Bryant getting lost behind a Tim Duncan screen, and calmly drained the winning three-point shot last night during a thriller between the Spurs and Lakers.

    Green’s really come on as a role player with the Spurs, he was such a good player in that title winning UNC team with Wayne Ellington and Ty Lawson

    Such defensive effort warrants another First Team All-NBA defensive team selection. Again. In Bean’s defense though, he didn’t lose his man like Westbrook did last week and had to use his GPS to find his last known address.

    Not sure what the announcers saw last night but there was no screen set
    for Danny Green. Green looked like he was trying to set a down screen
    for someone else but no one screened off Kobe allowing Green to get an
    open look. Kobe ran into his own player (Howard) thereby creating a
    screen that never existed. That`s poor defense all around by Bryant.

    Cold blooded. Dude’s jumpshot has improved since college and really has found a niche in the NBA has a knock down 3pt shooter. Found it funny he almost bus driver punched Kobe right after that lol

    It was definitely supposed to be a screen the screener play for Green. You can see Duncan setting up to screen, but he thought Kobe would cheat over the top, and Kobe trailed Green instead. Dwight was jut in poor position, thus he picked off his own man.

    Exactly… Kobe took one step to go high, and realized Green was going low. Good read, but not even Kobe was able to beat the play. Great set up by Popovich. Ironically, the Lakers need exactly a coach like that with a bag of tricks calling the plays… good luck Mike D’Antoni.

    Horry Jr gave no effort on defense and a la Ms. Pacman, cried about not receiving the power pellet (basketball) at the end of the game. When the team leader puts his personal agenda (scoring) above the good of the team, good coaches like Mike Brown get fired.

    The sequence of events at the end of the Spurs game, (i) Horry Jr’s lack of effort on defense, then (ii) crying for not getting the rock on offense, sums up the Lakers entire season. Imagine the quotes the Shock Exchange delivers once D12 decides not to re-sign with L.A.
