Marc Gasol Abuses Kendrick Perkins in the Post (VIDEO)

There haven’t been any reports about Grizzlies center Marc Gasol training with Hakeem Olajuwon, but Gasol sure did seem Dream-esque with this move on Kendrick Perkins (who had himself a tough night all around.)

whose dialup connection was used to record this?

  • pposse

as of right now, 5 or 6 games into this young season Marc Gasol is the best center in the league!

    That really was SMOOOOOOTH……

  • Max

    Oooohhhhweeeeee.
Love to see something like that.

  • Da-Meat-Hook

Bledsoe’s block, Jeff Green’s dunk, and Walker’s cross were all filthy in their own right, but this was the highlight of the night in my opinion!

1st, it’s really not that bad. 2nd, you have the option to watch it in 720p HD.

Youtube: Learn how to use it.

damn that was like the DreamShake in slow motion.. kinda sick..

  • LakeShow

Agreed, too much skill involved with this one.

  • toner

I had to watch it twice, that was impressive.

  • spit hot fiyah

sick skill set, best passing center in the L

  • danpowers

im a guard and dont get whats so difficult about this move. yesterday i tried to teach that lil dream shake to a pivot for two hours with no success. these guys are pros tho. why doesnt every nba center have that in his repertoire?

  • Jerome

Really want the NBA to enforce the travelling rule. Otherwise this was exactly what post players are supposed to develop. Skillz!

  • adrianc513

Thats Beautiful. Sign me up for the Marc Gasol Big Man Camp

  • Lou

Wish his older Brother would play like that

  • i AN LEGEND

    No.

  • robb

Perkins making a great David Robinson impersonation right there

  • LakeShow

Most can pull off that move.
    Few can finish it.

  • DeMaCk

Best offensive center for sure, but not best overall.

  • ThaWindy

Seen it live and had to rewind. The cross was so unexpected…

  • 23

Better passer than Joel Anthony????! Now your just talking crazy man!

  • VanCityBBall

it such a breath of fresh air when i see a big man play like a big man…especially for the younger generation who think you can only be great by knocking down 3′s (not dissing anyone just saying..)

  • danpowers

    ill never get why

  • Ugh

2012 – when one single, slow, awkward post move invites comparisons to Hakeem Olajuwon.

  • pposse

who has been playing better than him so far this season? The grizzlies are on like a 6 game win streak too. Last year he was easily atleast the 3rd best center in the L, and right now Dwight is not 100%, the Lakers are losing and Bynum is out.

  • T-Money

not sure why you’re not in the pros either

some people, specifically big giant people, aren’t very coordinated. It takes time and concentration to pull off something that “seems” so simple to you (a guard). In an NBA game, having the time to think about the move you are going to pull off isn’t really a big window.

  • danpowers

coz i dont have any talent at all, lol

  • danpowers

i mean theoretically i know that, its just really tough emphatize that when u can do something yourself and see another guy not being able to perform it after showing it to him over and over and over again lol

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

well how do you think Rocket Scientists feel?

  • danpowers

quite disappointed, day in day out i guess

  • http://twitter.com/sooperfadeaway nbk

    it’s a cold cold world

  • LakeShow

Dude if you can do that move, your talented. That’s not an easy move at all.

  • danpowers

thanks. but it takes more to become a pro, it jus wasnt enough. n im just 6’0” so having a dreamshake n being able to post up other pgs isnt really that useful. a reliable shot or better courtvision wouldve helped more lol

  • LakeShow

Sounds like if you and I meshed playing styles we’d be dominating the L lol.

  • danpowers

whats your skillset? tall guy without postgame?

  • kauhl

That was soooo nice. If you can’t understand why, perhaps you should try another sport or just stick with dunk contests.
