Referee Joey Crawford Dances After Making a Terrible Call (VIDEO)


The immortal Joey Crawford was at it again last night, stealing the spotlight from the Lakers and Pacers to put on a bizarre (and hilarious) dance routine after making a horrible blocking call late in the fourth quarter. It wasn’t the first time that Crawford’s moves on the court have entertained us, and hopefully won’t be the last.

    It wasn’t a terrible call. you see how Duhon rose up a little? that’s initiating contact and a ref will call that against you all the time.

    no it isn’t. if Duhon jumped straight in the air he would still be playing good defense on that play. this isn’t high school, you can be moving. you just can’t be invading another players space while trying to draw a charge.

    Duhon pushed his arms out. But what really amazes me is that Crawford still has a job as an NBA ref. He clearly lets his emotions get in the way.

    I think him stopping the Pacers 4 on 1 fast break with Gerald Green on the wing to give Kobe a tech was worse than this charge/block call.

    I didn’t make the distinction because he was moving. It’s common knowledge that you can stil be in motion. The point is that by making that extra motion, you’re going toward the defender and initiating the contact. That’s how it has been explained to me by several referees.
