Jeremy Lin Beats the Knicks in First Return to New York (VIDEO)

The former Knick hands New York its first home loss.

After receiving a polite ovation from the Madison Square Garden faithful in his first game back in New York, Jeremy Lin went out and torched his former team (22 points, 8 assists), as he led the visiting Houston Rockets to an easy 109-96 win.

    I’m missing and I’m a 21st chromosome? Say wah.

Minutes affect assists and turnovers thus creating the ratio obviously. More minutes means more turnovers. Keep into account both Irving and Lillard have less to work with than Lin. He stinks.

lol, props to Da-Meat-Hook for using it so well also.

He was a starter….who got his job…by lying about a bum knee. It was fluke that someone with a lifelong bum knee made it to being a starter in the NBA. People with chronic lifelong bum knees have a “surprising piece of luck” to be starting in the NBA.

    fluke
    /flo͞ok/
    Noun
Unlikely chance occurrence, esp. a surprising piece of luck: “their triumph was no fluke”.

  • bill

It’s a fluke just to even get in the NBA whether you’re a bench player or a starter no matter how good you are. It’s not a fluke to stay in the NBA once you get there unless you get a career ending injury.

In my haste, I mispelled “your” on my i-phone . Thank you for pointing that out. I was wrong, you were right. See how that works?
So you’re aknowledging that you were wrong in saying that less minutes affects assist-to-turnover-ratio?

  • LakeShow

    Seriously…wtf…

  • LakeShow

No… No, it wasn’t a fluke that Sam Bowie was drafted by the NBA. Nor that he started many, many games. He was a highly thought of draftee.

He was a very good basketball player, that people didn’t realize had medical problem before assigning him draft stock.

It is no fluke to have the skills and attitude to make it in the NBA.

Sam Bowie was a solid player when healthy btw. He started 349 games in his career. No fluke involved. He put up over 12ppg and 8 boards in numerous seasons. With very good block numbers too.

It’s not an “unlikely chance occurrence” that Jeremy Lin is starting in the NBA…
    It is currently happening.

  • Da-Meat-Head

    Brace yourself, it’s happening again . . .

  • Redd

…you couldn’t piece that together? We’re talking assists & I mentioned 3 good players. You guys seriously couldn’t decipher that..seriously. Mad stupid.

  • Bored

oh of course. i was just confused because you didn’t say the sky was blue etc. excellent point though, they are good players. now everything you said makes sense and we are all idiots. thanks man!

  • Da-Meat-Hook

    FULL RETARD . . . AGAIN!!!

soft ice cream, leprechauns, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit . . . you seriously can’t decipher that . . . seriously? Mad stupid.

  • Redd

The assist part..? Ok yeah how do you call me dumb but can’t figure out a simple straightforward implication that he only gets assists cause he’s playing with amazing players while he himself sucks. Lol seriously, you call me dumb but yourselves are idiots.

    lol

so far in this thread of comments I have seen a Da-Meat-Hook,Hok? and Head raises my eyebrows

  • Da-Meat-Hook

You have truly dropped some gems on this thread, Redd.

    - you clearly misunderstood a comment that was literally 1.5 lines

    - you then tried to defend your stance on that misunderstood comment by arguing that “playing less minutes” affects Jeremy Lin’s assist-to-turnover ratio in his favour

    - then you try to defend that comment by stating that playing with “amazing players like Omer Asik and Parsons” makes it easy for Lin “who sucks”, to pile up assists.

Bravo Redd, Bravo! That was just a great read. Pls keep up the brilliant work. It is so entertaining to c u set yourself up again and again on a silver platter.

    jup

  • danpowers

lets be fair about lin – he returned from surgery and isnt at 100% yet. he will be fine in the long run if healthy

  • danpowers

it was 17pts n 3 rebounds off the bench. i tell you what speaks for smith: 18-6 and against lin: 12-12 lol

  • danpowers

he will be fine, people overlook that he wasnt back at 100% yet after his injury

    well that escalated quickly…..

  • Da-Meat-Hook

LOL Redd brings the rage out of people with common sense. There’s nothing worse than a REALLY REALLY dumb kid who thinks he’s smart and is vocal about it.
