Kevin Garnett And Kevin McHale Share Emotional Embrace (VIDEO)

A great, great moment.

Kevin McHale drafted KG out of high school in 1995, and after 12 seasons together in Minnesota, the two share a bond that remains strong to this day. After Friday night’s contest, Garnett walked over and embraced McHale, who recently returned following an extended leave of absence after his his daughter’s passing. Make sure you have some tissues nearby.

Garnett gets a bad rap, and maybe deserves it, but this is one of the classiest things I’ve ever seen, well done, KG ! Must be tough for McHale right now, this is the kind of support he needs.

Both these guys are great dudes. KG really isn’t as bad as everyone thinks. He may act like a badass on the court but off the court and camera he’s a pretty caring guy. Even wrote a birthday card for my nephew when I was a bartender at the Target Center. As for McHale, he is seriously one of the nicest people you could ever meet…just not the best GM.

Who’s the dick cameraman shining the spotlight on Kevin in the tunnel? Jesus, give the guy a little bit of space at that moment.

I would have punched the camera guy in the face if I was McHale. I understand you have to do your job but have some goddamn class

The camera guy was just doing his job, the one he does night in and night out. How would he know what Kevin Mchale was experiencing seconds before? Why is it alright for SLAM to draw attention to an intimate moment between KG and KM, but when a light is involved in a tunnel, it’s the dick cameraman.

Whatever, man. You like to debate any issue. I get it. You do raise a great point. How COULD anyone know that Kevin has just gone through a month of Hell? It’s not like they’ve been reporting it and constantly sending Kevin well wishes. That cameraman COULDN’T have known that Kevin had taken time off to bury his daughter. Insignificant NBA news like that could never reach an NBA cameraman. I have zero problem with SLAM showing an intimate moment between two brothers. I don’t even have a problem with them filming Kevin’s walk into the tunnel. I’m well aware that’s part of the NBA. I have a big problem with someone shining a spotlight in a legend’s face when he deserves some privacy and RESPECT. I hope that person’s boss asked them to use better judgement next time. Peace.

It’s nice to know that its not all business…McHale has known KG since he was 18 years old….given the circumstances of everything that has happen lately and in McHale’s life…seeing that was special
