Kobe Bryant Hits Fadeaway Three and Running Hook Shot (VIDEO)

Not quite enough, but not for lack of trying.

The Los Angeles Lakers limped out of New York with yet another loss — their fourth in a row — and once again, Kobe Bryant’s brilliant heroics were not enough.

    That fading 3 was when I thought the Lakers were going to come back. Unfortunately, they gave up an alley oop possession, followed by 2 wide open missed shots (Meeks and Ebanks), and a MWP fadeaway over JR Smith, just because. Oh and they gave up a 3, plus two offensive rebounds. This team is a mess, and MWP, at no point, no matter how hot he’s feeling, should be taking a fadeaway to try to close the gap.

    Amen on the metta fadeaway/this team being a mess. MWP’s an ok spot up shooter, but anything more than that is not his business! It’s at the point now where anyone who thinks Nash’s return will suddenly turns things around is being naive, this team has more problems than Steve can fix.

    THis is like Kobe in 05 and 06. When he didnt have a good team. He’d shoot, shoot shoot, get good stats, but his team wudnt win. This year he has a good team though, so his teams incompetence isnt an excuse.

    these laker haters i swear. do they not understand that they have not played together as a WHOLE team but just a couple of games? the main cog in mike d antoni’s defense is not there. ALSO this is a whole new system that they haven’t been able to practice as a team. i mean, of course they would struggle, this laker team is LITERALLY just kobe and dwight (injured pau) and only kobe can create his own shots, dwight can’t unless he gets the ball down low. its not like the thunder duo or lebron and dwayne, where both players could handle and shoot. its just kobe, thats why his stats are up cuz he has no choice cuz his team can’t do crap, (other than dwight)

    this team is A LOT better than those Lakers team. On paper. So no my friend, its not. The team is 1-11 when he scores over 30, and 8-3 when he gets 5 or more assists. So no, the teams incompetence is not an excuse.

    Perhaps the assists are recorded when his teammates actually SCORE upon receiving his passes.

    Yes, because I said this one play is indicative of the entire game. Don’t twist my words. You know what I meant. Kobe is no stranger to taking bad shots. In this instance however, he had little choice.

    This is how I know you haven’t watched the Lakers. For a player to get assists, your teammates (not named Dwight) have to actually make their wide open shots.

    I’ve watched plenty lakers games. And plz note, to get assists, u actually have to PASS. Im not one of those irrational Kobe haters mind you, I like the dude, he’s a great player. I’ve always liked him. He jsut isnt passing this year , and is trigger happy like bak in the 05 and 06 season.
