Referee Tries to Block Kris Humphries’ Free-Throw (VIDEO)

There was some confusion on the court as Kris Humphries shot free-throws while guys were trying to sub into the game. So referee Courtney Kirkland did something completely insane to restore order: he tried to block Humphries’ shot.

    A ref should not mess around like that.
    Let him shoot that even if it doesn’t count. That could mess a player up for a minute if the ref blocked that shot.

    I still can’t tell from that angle if he did or not lol, but he may have. Didn’t notice that the first time. Still doesn’t deserve a fine for it though.

    The ref was fullfilling a childhood dream–blocking a big, white, nba player’s shot. Fun stuff. Now, if he had tried that against DeMarcus…

    I don’t udnerstand how does he not get fined, it sets out a dangerous precedent, joke or not. Players get fined for almost anything these days, I can’t see why refs should not be held responsible for their actions.
