Russell Westbrook With a Monster Block on Roy Hibbert (VIDEO)

Sometimes height is not an issue.

Roy Hibbert didn’t realize that Russell Westbrook was ready and waiting for him to expose the ball. Russ proceeded to pack it in a vicious manner.

HONESTLY, GETTING BLOCKED BY A GUY SMALLER THAN YOU….IT’S THE SHlTTIEST FEELING IN THE WORLD…

  • RKJ92

NATE ROBINSON > YAO MING LOL

  • Francis Harden

That’s not nice Russell. Bad boy!

  • christianbullen

ehhh.. russ got the jump on him. pretty nasty though.

  • Max

I think most of us who have decent timing would have blocked that weak stuff..

  • spit hot fiyah

the most impressive part is that he jumped too early and still got it clean. and hibbert is not ever going to be the best center with that weak sauce. if u r 300 punds u should take someone who is like 185 through the rim

Hibbert went RIGHT into him. Poor awareness on his part, because Russell had zero chance of blocking that shot otherwise.

  • robb

    Hibbert’s still too naive.

    not like that tho..

    LOL

basketball IQ must not be too high

Russell becoming one of my favorite players

  • Max

Why not, you just have to be able to reach rim level and be a lil bit strong..

thats what i mean. to bring down a dunk like that requires more then just timing bruh

  • Max

You know what I’m saying, it’s not really that hard.
I find it more amazing that Westbrook’s timing was bad as he jumped way to early but still got it.

haha that is pretty funny. When you have a 40″ vertical you can afford to make those types of mistakes.

I’m fairly confident that if you tried to block that Roy would go straight through you and dunk that sh*t.

    I love him but I really wish his fg% wasn’t sub 43….

what about losing a jump ball to a guy more than a foot shorter than you…(Yao, Vince)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike-Gilbert/100001749589586 Mike Gilbert

which is fine…His IQ and awareness is going to develop with experience

  • christianbullen

nahh, I wouldn’t mind that cause vince is half man half amazing.

  • PlanetAsia14

Russell with the hang time though, damn.

i agree because roy went up not knowing what’s behind him and russ was almost already airborne, so definetly anybody with good hops and timing would’ve got it done

  • Guest

i would be able to reach there but i highly doubt that me touching the ball wouldnt really stop or even bother hibbert by making his shot lol

  • danpowers

only when youre young. later on you dont give a sh* especially if you keep possession

  • danpowers

that was an instant classic. also really evil – that come from behind block by jordan on ewing’s jumper

  • Max

Don’t forget we talking bout Roy Hibbert, as he was not expecting someone to jump I’m pretty sure he would have dunked it softly.

  • Max

If you slap fairly hard, and him not expecting it, I think you would get it.
Probably not like Russ, but he wouldn’t make it I think.

  • RKJ92

    Memoriessssss <3 Hahaha

  • tigerJK

he’s just saying that hibbert plays soft offense for a 7 footer, that’s all

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

Agreed. Westbrook is a sneaky lil rascal
