Damian Lillard Dunks in Nene’s Face (VIDEO)

The rookie throws it down.

Late in the fourth quarter of a thriller between the Wizards and Blazers last night in Portland, Damian Lillard exploded past John Wall and threw one down on top of Nene and his wild mane. Just nasty.

    A more athletic Chauncey Billups.

  • theDankerNuggets

one of the best dunks i’ve seen all season

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

hes gonna be better then westbrook

  • permaculture james

Good assessment. Now, I’d love to see him develop Chauncey’s savvy in getting folks off the ground and drawing fouls when shooting.

    He’ll learn.

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

    More controlled, not better.

  • flows

    No he’s not.

Westbrook is the best player under 6’6″ in the world. If you were to do a draft today of all players in the league, only LBJ,KD35, BG, DH12, and maybe Melo goes before him. Don’t ask me about “such and such” because yeah, I thought of him too.

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

A healthy Rose and CP3 would also go before Westbrook. Rondo is also debatable.

WHAT DOES “BG” STAND FOR…YOU CANT BE TALKING ABOUT BLAKE

Damien Lilard= Kyrie irving’s game+the athleticism of wall, rose, and westbrook

With a dash of D Rose, in terms physical abilities. I honestly believe he could be better in time due to his already somewhat mature offensive game. He has enough controll and IQ and a nice stroke from deep, to have a longer career than rose and westbrook. he also the physical gifts to be a “poster” boy for the league.

Better than Rose or Billups? I can see him being better than Billups easily but not Rose. He came into the league with a good physical makeup as a PG like Rose did. He has a better outside shot than Rose did coming into the league. He’s as composed as Rose was as a rookie. He’ll probably have a longer career but I keep hearing about Rose having a better jumpshot so I’m not sure. Of course all of this hinges on what kind of player he’ll be whenever he’s back at 100%. I think Damian will be a similar kind of player with the stats though. 20+points, 7 assists.

    nice

    he is…

yeah that goes without saying, but I honestly think he could be better not saying he will though. right now athletically speaking and skill wise rose has the edge overall while dame is a better passer and shooter imo

    If you’re a GM and don’t take a 24 year old 20 10 guy, you get fired.

  • flows

Today my friend, today. Rose is not healthy and CP3 isn’t as explosive.

  • flows

    Rondo might be debatable.

    only time will tell…

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

    reliable is better no?

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

Tough to answer because at his best, Westbrook can put up a statline that no other PG can really match. If he ever learns how to take better shots, I think he’s only looking at 2 guys ahead of him at that PG spot..CP3 and Rose (when he’s healthy).

  • ByAnyMeansNecessary

CP3 doesn’t need to be explosive. He never really was if you think about it. He knew when he needed to get to his spots and how quickly he needed to get to them. Even now, he still gets where he wants to get on the floor regardless of who’s guarding him. His knowledge of the game allows him to control the game. He’s usually two steps ahead of everyone else on the floor. Westbrook can’t control a game with his mind. His athleticism is mainly what allows him to do what he does. It will be interesting to see him later on in his career when he’s not as athletic as he is now. We see Chris today without some of the lift in those legs that he used to have and he’s still lethal.

    totally agree

if you look at Rose and Westbrooks stats too me what separates is that Westbrook though still very raw on that end is more defensively talented than Rose. Rose to me has a slight advantage offensive as he seems more polished albeit both of them are most effective from 15ft to the rim.
