Jamaal Franklin Throws Alley-oop To Himself Off The Backboard (VIDEO)

This solo-alley was filthy.

San Diego State junior guard Jamaal Franklin showed why he’s one of college basketball’s best finishers last night. With SDSU leading by six at Fresno State early in the second half, the 6-5 2-guard launched a pass at the backboard and threw it down. At full speed. And get this: The reigning Mountain West player of the year scored with 20 points, grabbed 18 boards, dished out 5 helpers and swatted 3 shots in the 65-62 victory.

    I always wonder what goes through a guys head when they do this in a game. I’d be too afraid my coach is gonna yank me out the game if I missed to even think of attempting it. Hell, some coaches would yank a player even if they made it.

    Just saw this in HD. He actually looked off his teammate before passing it off the board. It was practically a no look alley oop pass to himself.

    I’m actually more surprised guys dont look for that more.. I remember Jamal Crawford was doing it quite a bit back in the day.. not necessarily even trying to dunk, just pass it to your self off the glass..
