Jimmy Butler Dunks on Greg Monroe (VIDEO)

With Luol Deng out, Jimmy Butler continues to shine. He crushed one over top of Greg Monroe last night.

    WOOOOO!

Wish you guys had posted his put back dunk on Kobe.

For people who haven’t seen or know much about this kid.

Hes gotten his 2nd 18 point game while not having a consistent shot, his shot isn’t too good but he’s incredible at rebounding, athleticism, and his smarts on the court are great. He’s a piece of basketball art.

    Championship glue guy?

I’d like to think so, an unbiased basketball fan would argue his sample size may be too small for me to warrant him as a 4Q go to player(as I believe he is) but then you look at his body of work and the potential always showed.

On D, no one can argue he’s a huge part for any playoff contender, on Offense he consistently shown up 4Q.

Nice work by Nate Rob too, pushing the pace to create that dunk

Chicago only won last night because of Nate Robinson

I know this isn’t really what this page is about. But I had a thought, what about in the future I think Rips contract is running out this year. Instead of worrying bout signing a free agent, wouldn’t Victor Oladipo from IU work perfectly in the Bulls system? A slasher defender, has a mediocre three point shot. He is regarded as the top if not one of the top tenacious perimeter defender in the college ranks. Hes projected to be like a 26th overall pick. What do you guys think of this?

    pg: Derrick Rose (Teague)

    sg:: Jimmy butler (Victor Oladipo)

    sf: Luol Deng (Victor Oladipo)

    pf: Carlos Boozer (Taj Gibson)

    c: Joakim Noah (Taj Gibson)

I don’t know how Bellinelli would fit, or the others. But I think Victor Oladipo could be similar to Jimmy Butler defense wise and scoring wise. Having three premier defenders for SG, and SF would be great. Would we even need a Bellinelli? Just a thought.

Do you guys think Oladipo would fit into the bulls well, and how would you picture it working if so?

I agree Butler rarely makes a stupid play. Great basketball IQ, also he is consistently finding ways to impact the fourth quarter. Sample size is fairly small, but from what I’ve seen so far he’s very impressive. And I am extremely excited for the bulls moving on.

btw I read an article saying that the Marquette coach called jimmy the smartest basketball player he ever coached. On and off the floor.

The Bulls only signed Bellinelli, Robinson, Mohammed and Rad Vlad to one year deals so I would assume none of them are in the future plans for the Bulls.
I don’t know if Oladipo would become much more than a player like Tony Allen, his offensive game really needs some work. But if we do draft him (I bet he will stay in college all four years) at the very least his D will translate to the NBA

    I haven’t bought a jersey ever..mostly cause I don’t like buying expensive things..but I predict my 1st jersey will be a Jimmy Butler & not a D. Rose yet lol.

I am an IU fan/student, as well as a Bulls fan, and I have been thinking this whole season that Vic would be a perfect fit on the Bulls. Unbelievable athleticism and defender, fantastic basketball IQ, great kid, and a much-improved shooter. He is shooting over 50% from deep this year. As much as I will hate for him to leave IU early, he would be perfect for the Bulls
