Blake Griffin Dunks on the Charlotte Bobcats (VIDEO)

BG and CP3 welcome the Cats to Lob City.

Chris Paul and Blake Griffin connected on three huge dunks last night, as the LA Clippers cruised to a 106-84 victory over the hapless Charlotte Bobcats.

The ability to keep rising after the contact….the adjustment is sick too. That’s a Jordan engineered dunk to last through the ages.

  • Ugh

    Great dunks all round.

Don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade, but a note to the commentator about athletes playing that position: 1) ‘Athlete’ means more than ‘can jump’. I offer you Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman. 2) If ‘athlete’ means ‘can jump’: Reignman.

Man y’all need to stop acting like these tall-ass dudes are doing something special. Blake Griffin stretches his arm up and his fingers are LESS THAN 1ft. from the rim. That automatically makes most dunks unimpressive. If you are, say, 6ft. tall, what he does on a 10 foot rim is equal to what you can do on a 8 1/2ft. goal. Which basically means you can do anything, and if you were 6’9″ or 6’10″ you could easily do the same thing.

Second dunk; finishing after contact, good ish.

Right, and if ‘can’t jump’ means non-athlete, I present to them the entire Gracie jiu-jitsu family, Navy SEALs, Michael Phelps, ultramarathon runners, and Bear Grylls, amongst others.

    2nd dunk… its a wrap

Clearly your basketball knowledge is lacking. Blake Griffin is easily one of the best dunkers of all time, height is irrelevant when you’re cramming on dudes of all sizes. Penalizing someone because they’re y’all? That’s ignorant. I’m sure Shawn Kemp, Dr. J, Dominique Wilkins, etc. aren’t impressive Dunkers because they’re just too darn tall. Lol walk away brotha

I didn’t say it wasn’t impressive overall (just for people who have a standing reach of 9ft.+), but if you would have ever played professionally you would understand that it isn’t that hard to dunk if you are that tall. So if you are tall and athletic, you get this. No different than a lot of players. If you are 6’4″ or over, you should be able to do most every dunk. Or, maybe I was just a good jumper/dunker in my day. I’m 6’5″ and 34 years old and I can still windmill, dunk 2 hands from the dots, etc. Knees and ankles are shot, and I retired at 29 from playing professionally overseas. Come on man. No excuses. He has impressive dunks, a lot of people have impressive dunks, but MOST of them are much more unimpressive than they may seem, regardless of how hard it may be for you to imagine being tall and athletic.

I will agree with that to some extent. At some point, height becomes too much of an advantage. Still, Blake does a lot of things that guys his height and taller cannot do. He’s ultra athletic and entertaining to watch.

    “Jordan engineered dunk” Well said…
