Denver Nuggets With a Dunkfest on the Los Angeles Lakers (VIDEO)

Rough night for L.A.

The Denver Nuggets converted 33 fastbreak points against the Los Angeles Lakers (many in spectacular, high-flying fashion), to go along with an eye-popping 78 points in the pain. The result? A convincing 119-108 win. Per the OC Register: “Fast-break points? Denver 33, Los Angeles 3. ‘Man,’ Kobe Bryant said, ‘that’s a killer.’ The Lakers are last in the NBA in points allowed per game off turnovers, and that’s just how Denver took control of this game – also running off Bryant’s early missed shots. The Nuggets kept control with Dwight Howard shooting 3-for-14 on free throws and Bryant’s individual defensive effort lacking even as he rediscovered his shooting stroke. [...] With the help of those fast-break points, Denver finished with 78 points in the paint. ‘That’s a lot-lot-lot,’ Mike D’Antoni said.”

Man, just when everybody thinks they turn the corner……. They better avoid OKC or any team with players under age 28 IF they make the playoffs…

Lay down & Stay Down !!!

Kobe doesn’t have the legs to consistently play tenacious D and take on a huge offensive role at his usual rate anymore. He’ll bounce back either next game or the one after, but the Mamba showing signs of wear. Either way, the Lakers looking like a soft 8th seed at BEST right now.

The Nuggets are so fun. I don’t care what anyone says, they have as much chance as anybody to make it to the Western Conference Finals

  • Max

Well it’s not like they get to pick who they’ll play.
It will probably be the Spurs, maybe OKC IF they make it.

  • Seth

Kobe is not the defensive player he thinks he is.

b2b after a close game vs Dallas. Vs a team that has teh 2nd best home record in the L. vs the team that is built to break apart the Lakers. Put everything into context. LAL might not make the WCF but they’ll really test any of the top teams in the L in the POs IF Pau returns.

“f*** this…. turn fatigue back on”

  • Ugh

You really think they have equal chance at making the WCF as the Thunder and the Spurs? Really?

Absolutely. They have good rebounding, good perimeter defenders (minus Gallo), great offensive flow, and damn do they run well. If they shoot great from deep in a series they will win regardless of who they are playing.
