Fight Erupts During Pacers-Warriors Game, Roy Hibbert Ejected (VIDEO)

Things got testy in Indy.

In the fourth quarter of tonight’s Pacers-Warriors game, a scuffle broke out between Roy Hibbert and David Lee—and then all of the Pacers and Warriors who were on the floor—and after a lot of pushing (but no real punches, it seems) and a flurry of technical fouls, the Indiana big man was tossed.

All because of David lee. LOL

  • dwade flops so hard

i think people really use the word ‘fight’ too loosely. this is a shove, followed by a shove, followed by a chest bump. not a fight

  • Rob Stewart

If the words “stole on” cannpt be applied the it’s not a fight

  • RajonR9

The action is really happening on Lee’s left ear?

  • roscoe

somewhere Jeff Van Gundy is yelling… “FINALLY, I AM NOT ALONE ON THE FLOOR”

  • Lmao Police

    Steph Curry got owned, twice

  • sammyb96

The throwback jerseys are not enough, let’s bring all of 90′s NBA back!

    This fighting is so nostalgic.

  • Darksaber

David Lee is one solid guy. Roy wound up to shoulder bump him after the initial push and Dave just shrugged it off. Hibbert even bounced off a little.
One would think Curry would be worried about that fragile ankle of his, but nope…

  • Darksaber

Really cool of the coaching staff to get in there. Respect.

  • Goode

you kno they holdin Lance Stephenson aka Born Ready cause that man was gonna pop off.. the only man truly ready to do anythin when things get real!

  • robb

lol Curry got Jeff Van Gundied

  • Roy

If dcuz or artest did that they b suspended indef

  • Redd

You didn’t look hard enough, it’s there.

  • Redd

    Lol he’s a punk.

  • Redd

And that’s why you gotta respect Curry, he tried to help his teammate.

  • Redd

Agreed, but man are the Pacers punks, always have been. It’s incredibly mind blowing what they’re allowed to get away with.

  • k

    wat

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike-Gilbert/100001749589586 Mike Gilbert

lmao Roy Hibbet has got to have like 80 punds on him

  • Marcos Garcia

    hahah stephen curry’

  • junitheballer

david lee starts the fight but roy pushed steph curry

  • junitheballer

steph is no match to roy hehehe throws him like piece of paper

  • Raheem Shabazz

So how are you going to call Lance a punk, but have respect for Curry? From Stephenson’s perspective he’s helping his teammate.

  • JayRose

    well that escalated quickly….

  • Comment_System

    thats the joke

  • Redd

Really? By keeping the fight going?

Curry pulled Hibbert away to try & stop the fighting whereas Stephenson tried to be a tough guy.

  • Redd

But man Paul George is the 1 guy you have to like. He’s always been stand up.

  • http://twitter.com/LuisBrownish Luis Moreno

In other words a penis swinging contest.

  • http://twitter.com/LuisBrownish Luis Moreno

I just feel they get way too hyped sometimes to use it to help their momentum or something, kind of like the Heat-Pacers series. Everyone knows LeBron won’t do nothing back, so why get in his face and try to act like a tough guy? These young guys let the moment get the best of them I think.

  • http://www.rich-imaging.com/ Dutch Rich

Roy looking like Suge Knight out there!

  • Solito

He’s a Reverse-Starks… He’ll be bagging groceries soon enough at a Safeway near you.

  • shutup

How isn’t this David Lee’s fault?????

  • ATL dynamite

Anyone sees David West shoving Frank Vogel? lol

  • RKJ92

    Hibbert’s wins LOL

  • RKJ92

Lance is deff a goon, good to have one on everyteam IMO

  • Draak Grafula

Indeed, Lee was out of line. The reason Hibbert got tossed though, is probably because he pushed after the whissle was blown. You could argue that anything before the whissle is an out of control basketball play, but everything after the whissle is ‘fighting’.

What the replay doesnot include is Hibbert entering the paint hard. (The beginning of the clip shows it though.) I’m not sure he meant to run into Lee that hard but Lee’s ‘retaliation push’ was too much (and to late) imo.

  • Draak Grafula

On second thought, Roy really doesn’t enter the paint that hard and Lee kind off jumps in his path.
I guess Roy got unlucky that the crowd moved in his direction/with him and not in Lee’s direction and he therefore stayed involved.

Also. lol at the (female) ref backing out of there at 0:16.

  • arnis

David West should be ejected too…

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

didnt juwan howard punk his a$$ out last playoffs?

  • Lloyd

Hibbert shouldn’t have been ejected. Double tech on Lee and Hibbert sure, but that second tech is undeserved. Curry grabbed him and tried to forcefully shove him away. If Roy pushes him off, that should be completely accepted. Jarett Jack should’ve been T’d up for sure.

  • Max

This is like a men’s version of bumperboats.

  • Max

    Dexter Pittman.

  • K9

david lee should get B**** slapped for this

  • Paul

If you watch the replay, it will not only answer your question it will prevent you from asking such bad questions as well.

  • Gracie

Hahahaha I can take 1 look at Lance and tell he couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I’d choke him out in less than 10 seconds and he has me by 6 inches and probably 30 pounds. Not a fighter at all. If he was really tough, he wouldn’t try to make other people think he is. Real tough people don’t have to act tough. You’ll learn that one day, hopefully not the hard way!

  • Paul

Roy should get B**** slapped for pushing Lee. Lee would wipe the floor with him haha. Lee just stood there all gangster, Roy was like “let me throw Steph Curry and then I’ll look crazy”. Haha 7’3″ african booty scratcher

  • Paul

No, doofus, Hibbert started it by shoving Lee too hard

  • 23

I could’ve sworn David West threw a punch

  • pposse

steph curry is young; why wouldnt you try and hold your own guy back instead of a 7 footer on the opposite team? And then after Hibbert shoves the ant away he comes back at him and exhibits even more youngness by trying to push Hibbert more near the stands. He should have been t’d up if he wasnt, hell he should have been tossed for nearly escalating the “fight” nearer to the stands and get slapped with a fine.

  • http://twitter.com/_DFrance DFrance

I’m all for having your teammates back, but Curry gotta keep his fragile azz far away from any scuffles.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100003246310246 Jason Carter

there should be at least 2 suspensions, because it went into the stands.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=509819249 Gaurav P.

Isn’t he the one that got punked by Juwan Howard in the playoffs last year pre-game? And then Dexter Pittman laid him out in the actual game and he didn’t do sh*t.

  • initbruv

The Pacers need Sloan. I’m telling you, Sloan will coach the Pacers before he dies. Bet it.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Everyone respect Klay Thompson for holding on to the ball for dear life while fighting.

  • http://www.facebook.com/rainman1991 Saleem Rainman

He wasnt trying to hold him back, he was trying to go at him, lol. Gotta give him some respect, he’s got tenacity

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

But the first time Curry ran over just to grab him and hold him back it was only when he was shoved off the first time that he got up and shoved him

  • Max

    lol

  • LakeShow

    Which isn’t a good thing…

  • pposse

okay, if thats the case then why would he go at a guy from the blindside? This is similar to what Tyson did the other night, or when Carmello sucker punched the Knicks way back when, the only difference was his execution and finding out that he’ll get thrown like a rag doll when messing around with a 7 footer. The part that is disapointing was if this did turn out into a brawl and spilled over into the stands, it would have been mostly on Curry as he was attempting to shove Hibbert to the baseline.

  • http://twitter.com/HuwLHopkins Huw L Hopkins

Curry got tossed like a rag doll

  • ratguts

more like 100 i’d guess. how the hell does curry still look like a 17-year-old?

  • Otis

Aw sh!t poor lil Steph Curry :)

  • davidR

pittman hit him with a cheap shot, an elbow straight to his neck. it ended up breaking lance’s collarbone.

lance didn’t even fall down, and they were going opposite direction toward each other at full speed. lance is a b!tch for throwing his gf down the stairs. pittman is a b!tch for throwing a cheap shot

  • davidR

dexter hit him with a cheapshot elbow straight to the neck while lance was driving to the basket. ended up breaking his collarbone

  • shutup

I watched the replay, Hibbert went for the rebound and when Lee found himself out of position, then he (Lee) pushed (arms extended) with both hands. That’s not a basketball play. But thank you for your astute analysis; jerk off……..

  • shutup

    Thank You

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

    pitmans a fool. no bueno

  • http://twitter.com/Jzakoni Sanchez

gf down the stairs?! damn man. thats cold

  • Lloyd

Curry wasn’t trying to stop a fight. He was going at Hibbert. Peacekeeping 101 is you grab your guys and get them out of there, not try to tackle the other team’s biggest dude.

And he went after Roy the second time after he got flung around like a toy when Roy was relatively outside the crowd and did’nt seem to be making a move to re-enter the scuffle. Curry and Jack are the reasons the scuffle looked as bad as it did because their antics moved it into the crowd.

Curry tried to be a punk but ended up looking like a little boy.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Well i mean if you break your collarbone I’ll excuse you for not fighting back

  • Lloyd

1.) If Curry didn’t get involved, it seemed like it was just going to be Lee and Hibbert jawing at each other while their teammates shoved each other a little bit. When Curry got thrown down because he was trying to tackle Hibbert, that’s when the Warriors tried to make it a thing and the Pacers responded. 2.) Regardless of that, It’s common knowledge that if you’re trying to break it up, you get your guys out of there, you don’t forcibly try to evacuate the biggest member of the opposite team. Curry wasn’t trying to stop anything, he was going at Roy at got sonned.

  • Lloyd

Lee’s fault, and Curry and Jack escalated it. Lance and West contributed to that as well though. On a separate issue, the Pacers are punks if for no other reason than that they have Tyler Hansbrough in their line up.

  • http://twitter.com/LuisBrownish Luis Moreno

    Thats a little scary.

  • Redd

    Gtfo, you need glasses son.

Curry was trying to keep the peace. Roy is twice Curry’s size, let him run that on Bogut or Lee.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mike-Gilbert/100001749589586 Mike Gilbert

what are you talking about Lee started it, watch the video

  • Lloyd

Don’t need glasses to see what’s pretty obvious. If it weren’t for Curry, it would just be two bigs pushing each other then chirping. You don’t run into a scuffle, grab another team’s player and try to forcefuly push them anywhere if you’re trying to “Keep the peace”. You shoudn’t touch anyone on the opposite team, but if you do, at MOST wrap them up.

Why’re you making it seem like Hibbert went after Curry? Curry went at him so who cares how big he is? If a fly lands on you, you swat at it do you not?

Also, Hibbert wasn’t backing away from Lee anyway so don’t see your point there.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Yeah I guess, when my buddy is getting shoved like that I wouldn’t be holding my friend back though I’d be going at the other guy. But I think it also escalated when Jack and Thompson came from around and shoved Hibbert into the crowd.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Lol funniest is when Hibbert replied after and said I didn’t see him all I saw was some light skinned guy run at me.

  • Redd

He said that? LOL that’s messed up.

  • Redd

Notice nobody has blamed Curry? Just you? That’s cause when most fights break out you do see a guy either grabbing his team mate or the opponent. That ALWAYS happens, it’s not odd to do.

You must be a Pacers fan, but either way Curry & his 54 pts. aren’t worried about Roy.

  • Lloyd

Yea so Curry must have been fined $35,000 for some peace keeping tax huh? Right.

Like I said, most people frown upon that, but if you do, at MOST you wrap up the other guy. Not come from behind, forcefully try to tackle an opponent, get sonned, then get up and go at him again.

Not a Pacers fan at all, I can’t stand them, just a pretty obvious call. Only reason Curry isn’t getting anymore heat is because he’s so much smaller than Hibbert. If it was a bigger guy with a little bit of a worse rep doing what Curry did, it’d be a suspension for sure.

And yes, on a separate note he dropped 54 the next day…

  • Lloyd

I agree completely I’d do the same. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t “wrong” by way of the rules or takes blame off Curry for making it into a bigger thing than it had to be. For sure Klay and Jack both escalated it, as well as Stephenson and DWest but they only started pushing Hibbert after he threw down Curry as a direct result of Curry trying to go at Roy. If Curry didn’t try to tackle Hibbert, he wouldn’t have been thrown down and the entire Warriors squad wouldn’t have gone at Hibbert. Hibbert just looks like the bad guy because he’s so much bigger than Curry

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

“I saw some light skinned guy coming at me. I didn’t know if it was Curry or Klay Thompson.” “Seriously, I didn’t even feel (Curry). He just ran up on me. I don’t know.”
