Fight Erupts During Pacers-Warriors Game, Roy Hibbert Ejected (VIDEO)

Things got testy in Indy.

In the fourth quarter of tonight’s Pacers-Warriors game, a scuffle broke out between Roy Hibbert and David Lee—and then all of the Pacers and Warriors who were on the floor—and after a lot of pushing (but no real punches, it seems) and a flurry of technical fouls, the Indiana big man was tossed.

Isn’t he the one that got punked by Juwan Howard in the playoffs last year pre-game? And then Dexter Pittman laid him out in the actual game and he didn’t do sh*t.

The Pacers need Sloan. I’m telling you, Sloan will coach the Pacers before he dies. Bet it.

Everyone respect Klay Thompson for holding on to the ball for dear life while fighting.

He wasnt trying to hold him back, he was trying to go at him, lol. Gotta give him some respect, he’s got tenacity

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

But the first time Curry ran over just to grab him and hold him back it was only when he was shoved off the first time that he got up and shoved him

  • Max

    lol

  • LakeShow

    Which isn’t a good thing…

  • pposse

okay, if thats the case then why would he go at a guy from the blindside? This is similar to what Tyson did the other night, or when Carmello sucker punched the Knicks way back when, the only difference was his execution and finding out that he’ll get thrown like a rag doll when messing around with a 7 footer. The part that is disapointing was if this did turn out into a brawl and spilled over into the stands, it would have been mostly on Curry as he was attempting to shove Hibbert to the baseline.

Curry got tossed like a rag doll

  • ratguts

more like 100 i’d guess. how the hell does curry still look like a 17-year-old?

  • Otis

Aw sh!t poor lil Steph Curry :)

  • davidR

pittman hit him with a cheap shot, an elbow straight to his neck. it ended up breaking lance’s collarbone.

lance didn’t even fall down, and they were going opposite direction toward each other at full speed. lance is a b!tch for throwing his gf down the stairs. pittman is a b!tch for throwing a cheap shot

  • davidR

dexter hit him with a cheapshot elbow straight to the neck while lance was driving to the basket. ended up breaking his collarbone

  • shutup

I watched the replay, Hibbert went for the rebound and when Lee found himself out of position, then he (Lee) pushed (arms extended) with both hands. That’s not a basketball play. But thank you for your astute analysis; jerk off……..

    Thank You

Curry wasn’t trying to stop a fight. He was going at Hibbert. Peacekeeping 101 is you grab your guys and get them out of there, not try to tackle the other team’s biggest dude.

And he went after Roy the second time after he got flung around like a toy when Roy was relatively outside the crowd and did’nt seem to be making a move to re-enter the scuffle. Curry and Jack are the reasons the scuffle looked as bad as it did because their antics moved it into the crowd.

Curry tried to be a punk but ended up looking like a little boy.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Well i mean if you break your collarbone I’ll excuse you for not fighting back

  • Lloyd

1.) If Curry didn’t get involved, it seemed like it was just going to be Lee and Hibbert jawing at each other while their teammates shoved each other a little bit. When Curry got thrown down because he was trying to tackle Hibbert, that’s when the Warriors tried to make it a thing and the Pacers responded. 2.) Regardless of that, It’s common knowledge that if you’re trying to break it up, you get your guys out of there, you don’t forcibly try to evacuate the biggest member of the opposite team. Curry wasn’t trying to stop anything, he was going at Roy at got sonned.

  • Lloyd

Lee’s fault, and Curry and Jack escalated it. Lance and West contributed to that as well though. On a separate issue, the Pacers are punks if for no other reason than that they have Tyler Hansbrough in their line up.

    Thats a little scary.

  • Redd

    Gtfo, you need glasses son.

Curry was trying to keep the peace. Roy is twice Curry’s size, let him run that on Bogut or Lee.

what are you talking about Lee started it, watch the video

  • Lloyd

Don’t need glasses to see what’s pretty obvious. If it weren’t for Curry, it would just be two bigs pushing each other then chirping. You don’t run into a scuffle, grab another team’s player and try to forcefuly push them anywhere if you’re trying to “Keep the peace”. You shoudn’t touch anyone on the opposite team, but if you do, at MOST wrap them up.

Why’re you making it seem like Hibbert went after Curry? Curry went at him so who cares how big he is? If a fly lands on you, you swat at it do you not?

Also, Hibbert wasn’t backing away from Lee anyway so don’t see your point there.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Yeah I guess, when my buddy is getting shoved like that I wouldn’t be holding my friend back though I’d be going at the other guy. But I think it also escalated when Jack and Thompson came from around and shoved Hibbert into the crowd.

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

Lol funniest is when Hibbert replied after and said I didn’t see him all I saw was some light skinned guy run at me.

  • Redd

He said that? LOL that’s messed up.

  • Redd

Notice nobody has blamed Curry? Just you? That’s cause when most fights break out you do see a guy either grabbing his team mate or the opponent. That ALWAYS happens, it’s not odd to do.

You must be a Pacers fan, but either way Curry & his 54 pts. aren’t worried about Roy.

  • Lloyd

Yea so Curry must have been fined $35,000 for some peace keeping tax huh? Right.

Like I said, most people frown upon that, but if you do, at MOST you wrap up the other guy. Not come from behind, forcefully try to tackle an opponent, get sonned, then get up and go at him again.

Not a Pacers fan at all, I can’t stand them, just a pretty obvious call. Only reason Curry isn’t getting anymore heat is because he’s so much smaller than Hibbert. If it was a bigger guy with a little bit of a worse rep doing what Curry did, it’d be a suspension for sure.

And yes, on a separate note he dropped 54 the next day…

  • Lloyd

I agree completely I’d do the same. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t “wrong” by way of the rules or takes blame off Curry for making it into a bigger thing than it had to be. For sure Klay and Jack both escalated it, as well as Stephenson and DWest but they only started pushing Hibbert after he threw down Curry as a direct result of Curry trying to go at Roy. If Curry didn’t try to tackle Hibbert, he wouldn’t have been thrown down and the entire Warriors squad wouldn’t have gone at Hibbert. Hibbert just looks like the bad guy because he’s so much bigger than Curry

  • http://twitter.com/thursti_tyht Thurstian Tsui

“I saw some light skinned guy coming at me. I didn’t know if it was Curry or Klay Thompson.” “Seriously, I didn’t even feel (Curry). He just ran up on me. I don’t know.”
