    Well, they had a 1:30 time limit, so we wouldn’t have been able to wait all night for little Nathaniel to try 59 dunks before he finally made one like last time

    all these superstars in their prime watching on the sidelines with their lame ass clothes on. I think Russell Westbrook was probably the best dressed out of all of them, and thats saying something. They should all be ashamed of themselves!!

    Five years ago he takes it easy. He is Dr.J and a lil Jordan-esque. Not one for 360 degree slams but rather a soarer type dunker who puts a nice lil funk on his windmill. He isnt a dominique or VC kind of windmiller but he is smooth. Possibly the best one legged leaper in the L.

    …just realized why the dunk contests of the past years have been so bad (not that this one was bad, some very good dunks)…its because these cats are sooooooo nervous. Fringe NBA players in the biggest spotlight possible, the NBA watching them, celebrities courtside looking at them, NBA vet commentators cracking jokes at them…they just fall flat under that pressure. Thats why Dwight Howard was the last dunker who really captivated the crowd….its because he was already a superstar, the stage wasn’t too big for him. He was confident, smiling, and he didn’t miss dunks. These guys are some of the most incredible dunkers in the world (Gerald Green whose hops have hit there peak, and James White the legend) but they just look like deer in the headlights….no confidence, crowd-control, before or after dunks, and the really just hit a wall after misses. The contest won’t be GREAT until superstars (or at least confident athletes) are competing

    Me too especially with his long awaited return. He and Green were supposed to be thesaviors of the contest lmao then were the first to go.
