LeBron James Throws Down Pregame Between-the-Legs Dunk (VIDEO)

He refuses to participate in the NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest, but if you show up early enough to Miami Heat games, LeBron James routinely puts on a one-man aerial show. Naturally, this has drawn some criticism, and LBJ says he might stop his pregame antics. Per the Sun-Sentinel: “A LeBron James dunk that appeared on YouTube Monday has made seeing the pre-game layup line a must-see event. Because of the attention the play received, the Heat for the first time this season showed a live stream on their website of Tuesday’s warmup drills before facing the Sacramento Kings. […] The dunk, of course, fueled talk of James one day competing during NBA All-Star Weekend. James did little to extinguish the flames by telling former teammate Damon Jones in a recent interview that he was ‘very close’ to competing this season. After making those comments in an interview arranged by Nike, James somewhat backed off after his 40-point performance Tuesday. He said perhaps it may be time to end the pre-game show because it creates false hope for fans of him competing in the dunk contest. […] ‘Maybe I should stop because I’m making a lot of people mad about what I do,’ James said.”
