Usain Bolt’s Two-Handed Dunk in Celebrity Game (VIDEO)

Putting the word “fast” in fast break.

Usain Bolt was not particularly impressive in his squad’s 58-38 loss during Friday night’s Celebrity Game, but he did contribute the highlight of the night. In the final minute of the first quarter, Bolt streaked down the court, took an outlet pass from Nick Cannon, rose up and finished with a two-handed slam.

Allstar weekend has devolved into a pathetic soup of irrelevance and dis-entertainment. The ONLY thing I look forward to is the ACTUAL Allstar Game. They should only keep the Rising Stars and the ACTUAL Allstar Game. Everything else needs to go including the Slam Dunk Contest because they cannot get it right. It’s a abismal, and has been after Vince Carter won in 2000.

You could salvage the dunk contest but in order to do that, take out the fan voting, let the judges be basketball players, and ban Kenny Smith from speaking on any level.

Last night was the tale of 2 dunk contests, the West was treating it like a classic slam dunk contest. It was the EAST, sans Terrance Ross, who choked it up big time.

Personally, I think Jeremy Evans took the dunks to an artistic level (pun intended), and probably would have won over Terrance Ross if it were real judges voting and not 8 graders and China.

AND THIS CELEBRITY ALL-STAR GAME IS A HORRIBLE BYPRODUCT OF OUR CELEBRITY OBSESSED CULTURE.

I do not want to see an actor play basketball. I want to see an actor act, and an athlete play basketball. When a celebrity participates in that nonsense, to me, it comes across as a combination of desperate, camera hungry, and caricature-ish.

Also, what’s up with the way the All-stars dress? They need to fire their stylists, as they look silly out there. Those clothes look like costumes, not outfits.

BRING ON THE REAL ALLSTAR GAME AND LET’S GET IT POPPIN. I CAN STOMACH THAT MUCH BETTER THAN THE REST OF THIS DECREPIT NONSENSE.

No it hasnt been abysmal since 2000. J-Rich and Desmond MAson had great dunk Contest victories. Iggy showed up, so did Amare in different years, Dwight had a few good performances. But basically the past 4-5 years, have been disappointments, not the past 11.

Anyone who ends their rambling post with #MambaOut does not have an opinion worth listening to.
