Atlanta Hawks Cheerleader Fell on Her Head (VIDEO)

An ugly incident in Atlanta last night, as a Hawks cheerleader was taken off the court on a stretcher after falling on her head and neck. Per the AJC: “The Hawks were hosting the Dallas Mavericks at Philips Arena when the incident occurred. There was a brief delay in action between the third and fourth quarters after the cheerleader slipped and was injured during a routine. Cheerleader Kristen, whose last name was not released, was taken by paramedics to Atlanta Medical Center. She was released Monday night following examination by physicians, according to the team. ‘Our best wishes are with the cheerleader who had the incident on the court,’ coach Larry Drew said to start his postgame press conference. ‘She is doing well, from what I’m told. We are hoping that she is OK and are keeping things in perspective.’”

Note how the other dancers just keep on with the routine despite the girl down. I wonder if that’s what they are trained to do or do they simply not care?

I think they don’t realize about it, at least at first. The video only shows a few seconds.

They’re probably trained to keep routine. Then again they’reprobably also thinking “This my time to shine, you’re on your own!”
