Kawhi Leonard Dunks on Kendrick Perkins in Transition (VIDEO)

The Spurs swingman finishes on the break.

Kawhi Leonard is having a solid game against the Thunder—11 points on 5-8 from the field, 2 rebounds and 2 steals as of this writing—and this sequence was (naturally) the highlight of that first-half performance.

You obviously don’t watch enough Spurs. They play some of the most exciting basketball because they play with a system and always have some sweet team plays. These kind of statement are getting old, if you find monkeyball more exciting than team basketball then that’s good for you, but you can’t tell me you can’t appreciate team basketball.

BTW sorry for the rant, I just hate it when people think these are the same Spurs that live off Tim Duncan’s post play.

lol I get it man. I love watching the Spurs, to be honest with you, but I wouldn’t call them “exciting”. You can say they have great execution, you can say they play team ball, you can say TP’s amazing, you can say Timmy D’s the best PF ever and you can say they have the best coach in the NBA. I truly appreciate their game but I can’t say they’re exciting.

Depends what you see as “exciting”. Obviously alley-oops and cross-overs are exciting to anybody, but if you can appreciate the “extra pass” and the execution style offense then watching the Spurs can be beautiful. Not trying to pick a fight lol… I’m just a homer trying to defend my team haha

This guy is on Tim Duncan’s system…no emotion EVER!

This kid is a cold killer!!

  • A genius

I think I agree with Robb. The extra pass, and a well executed offensive system are essential to the spurs success. They are not exciting things. And thats OK. The bottom line is the final score. The Thunder is a VERY exciting team, they got smashed by the spurs. lol. exciting isnt always efficient. and effecient isnt always exciting.

Damn thats a good phrase. I’m a genius

while taking offense to “monkeyball”, i agree; watching the Spurs brings joy to my heart as a basketball fan and student of the game.
